The Ferry to and from Bintan!
A ferry ride was new for us but we welcomed the idea of not getting on a plane with 2 small children. The ferry ride from Singapore to Bintan, Indonesia took 50 minutes on the way there and 65 minutes on the way home (the waters were rough). We had some great seats on the way there and it allowed the kids to roam freely an arms length away from an adult (just in case they decided to go flying in case we hit a wave).
The kids looking out the window waiting for us to push away from the dock.
Lots of room to play, drink and eat.
Then the boys had to get to work and fill out our papers to get into Indonesia (for those of you who do not know it is a different country than Singapore).
Here we are waiting to get back on Ferry after our 4 day trip in Bintan.... set up just like the airport.
Food and drink for everyone... this at least kept them sitting in the stroller while we were waiting.
This is just a cute picture of Brooklyn after we got all the bags packed and were ready to head to the ferry terminal.
A cool shot I got from the ferry that shows some fishing huts from Indonesia. They usually are built a little more temporary looking than this but these were built to last.
There is much more to come from the Carr Clan visit... they did leave this morning and we were very sad to see the go. Next time we might meet in Australia or something (or at least that is what we are hoping for).
