A wonderful day of sports...

We anticipated this day for a while... and were so excited it was finally sports day.  Pierce was to wear green (so he wore his Army of the Lord shirt) and get ready to win... The school does such a good job of putting these together and making learning fun for the kids.  It was a great day for sure... here are some pics to prove it.

Someone else was so happy to be there and had a great time... first time to get his hands in real grass and he loved it.

Waiting patiently...

And at the end of the long day they do the "parent race"... since we are new to the upper school I had no idea this was going to happen... but after encouraging my child all day to participate I had to join in RIGHT... even if I had not really done any kind of "racing" in years decades.  So here we go.... BANG...
And out of all those moms... I came in second... the girl who beat me was on a track team in college... go figure...

It was a great day for sure...

Sports Day at School...

Another fun day at school... Sports Day.  The kids loaded in a big bus and headed down the road to an amazing soccer field for sports day.  The weather was fantastic... cloudy and a little windy and screaming for kids to come play outside.  So here we are ready for all the fun.
Can you find Pierce?

One excited little boy... so much room to run and play.

And off they go...

Here they are chasing their teacher Miss. Murphy (in the red top)... Pierce is the second kid about to catch up...

Stretching time...

And hanging with his buddy Bodhi.

Ready for the relay... he was first and was so excited to get started...

You had to drop the bean bags in the circles and run back as fast as you can... relay against another team.

Pierce with more friends... The girl in the middle name is Camille and then Sophie (which loves Pierce... always giving him hugs).

I did not know he could do this... he has lift off... and in the background is his assistant teacher Miss. Naam.

Mom even got to do a mommy relay and had to run a little (was interesting taking the baby bump with me)... we had a great day with friends and enjoying the cool weather.

School is now over and we are in summer now but there is more fun that I will share with that we had just the last week of school.

Oh to be a Cosmo...

We have officially started soccer... and they are called the Cosmo's. Blake and I both started soccer at 3 so we thought it was time for Pierce to join in the fun... it is a lot different from the states not so much free time ( i remember just running up and down the fields with our parents running beside us).

Here at this one in Singapore the parents are asked to sit up stairs in bleachers and the children are required to do drills and wait their turn for 1 hour and 10 min and the last 20 minutes they get to scrimmage. As you can imagine with 500+ kids in one gymnasium (the fields were wet) our first day did not go off very well. I will bare you the details but Pierce was very distracted by the older kids and did not want to listen to his coach. BOOOOOO

We are going to try again this coming weekend... hope it goes better...

I did not get to take that many pics since I was trying to get my son to stay with his group (I could not sit in the bleachers). But I had to share all the ones I got... at the end you will see the pics of the scrimmage and he was REALLY enjoying himself but not so much during the instruction and listening time...

Cosmo's we are...
