one month...

One MONTH... is it possible... I still don't believe how fast time is slipping by... you think with a schedule like mine that repeats every three hours all day (even through the night) each day would feel like an eternity... but no... I am still looking for the pause button... slow down clock... please.

The next set of pics I could totally come up with some funny captions for each one... but I will spare you my thoughts... but take a look... you will see what I am talking about...Asher is full of many expressions... we love each one of them... even the "what you talkin about willis" one.

I love this last picture... he looks so big in some of the pics above and then this one in comparison to my hand... he still looks so little... I wish I could put him in a box and make him stop growing... but at the same time looking forward to all the fun adventures ahead with all my boys.

This video will give you a good idea of what a full belly looks like... Here is Asher after a feeding doing a lot of grunting, stretching and frowning...on his one month birthday!

The next video will be one that we will have to play at his high school graduation party... its ok to talk about "poo" when you are talking a baby poo right?  Well I am going to anyways... Asher does not poo everyday (like the books say he should)... instead he likes to store up and then waits for the right moment which is when he is in the swing (he will not poo anywhere else).  There is always a lot of grunting and squirting sounds (kind of explosive) and then I have a lot of clean up to do... if Daddy is the first to find him in this condition it is usually followed by "Mamma" that is said in an urgent tone.  the first sound you hear is a grunt and the second is a squirt... you will think they sound the same but trust me there is a big difference.  Enjoy.

Gifts... my love language.

The 5 love languages... although I love them all... my love language by far is "gift giving" meaning that I love to receive gifts... and I feel really loved when I get them... so thanks to all of those that love on us from near and afar... Living in a new country there are many times where you can feel sad and lonely... but when the postman comes to your house when a big box... it sure does help.
Now tell me how i can love on you... can't wait to pay you back...

There are many times where the whole family gathers around to open the box... filled with suspense (and Pierce can't wait to get his hands on his portion) we always read the card first... I usually cry but that is another story... :-)

We love and appreciate you all for loving and remembering us... Pierce just made the comment the other day "how come we celebrate Asher's birthday so long"... I assured him that when he was born we did the same for him...

Where does time go...

I have had so much fun this morning looking back at pics of Pierce when he young... seeing all of Pierces old things come out of storage and be used again by his little brother has brought back a lot of memories and I really need to work on a comparison post of Pierce and Asher at the same age.  I think they look so much a like (they act different though).  Today Pierce climbed up in the vibrating chair and I had to take a picture and run to see if I could find a picture of him when he was little... so here you go... where does time go... the first picture is of Pierce (although it looks so much like Asher)

Week 4 as 4!

Wow I am two weeks behind... got a lot to show you.. not really but here is a good taste of what our week 4 looked like...

Asher started smiling for the first time... smiles that were not associated with gas that is... and we just love them every time he gives us one.

Dude's day... all three of my boys on our bed watching a movie...

Asher's eyes were finally clearing up (it only took 4 weeks) no more mucus and crystal clear... and they still look blue but might change later.  Here is a great picture of him blowing bubbles for you.

It sure has been fun watching Pierce as an older brother.. I always knew he had a sweet heart but never knew what he would be like as a brother... he is wonderful and Asher is so blessed to have him.  Here Pierce is teaching him how to give "dukes", something we do in our family as a gesture of love (maybe).

And we found out that Asher likes to sleep on his belly.. I put him this way for some tummy time and he went to sleep.  I love this picture of him with his lamb from Aunt JuJu bc he looks so little... I have pictures now where he does not look so small in comparison...

Asher is still waking up every 3 hours at night (on the money) to feed.  So we are getting lots of alone time together still and it takes me about 5 min to wake up but after I do I sure do enjoy our cuddle time. We will usually feed for about 20 minutes and then I burp him and then he goes right back to bed.  But I realized this week after doing the math I am only getting 2 hours of sleep at a time (no wonder I am tired).  I wake up, feed him, do all the stuff that goes with that which takes about an hour all and all and then I go back to bed only to wake again in 2 hours... wow not trying to rush him to grow up but I could use a little more sleep.

That weekend we got to get out with daddy and let Pierce have some time that was just about him so we went to a local water park that was just open for the summer weather.  Pierce really enjoyed playing on the slides with friends while Asher and I hung out in the shade (second pic below).

And we even went on a road trip (check out our post going for a drive)... Pierce enjoyed his new ipad holder and Asher slept...

We even got to go Starbucks for the first time and I had a little helper taking good care of Asher... sweet Kate looks like a natural.

And daddy has been trying really hard to teach Asher how to hold his own bottle... and he finally did it... not a good picture but you get the point... well done Asher...

And lastly here is a little video of some fun time on the changing table... not sure if he was going to have fun or if he wanted to cry...
