Gifts... my love language.

The 5 love languages... although I love them all... my love language by far is "gift giving" meaning that I love to receive gifts... and I feel really loved when I get them... so thanks to all of those that love on us from near and afar... Living in a new country there are many times where you can feel sad and lonely... but when the postman comes to your house when a big box... it sure does help.
Now tell me how i can love on you... can't wait to pay you back...

There are many times where the whole family gathers around to open the box... filled with suspense (and Pierce can't wait to get his hands on his portion) we always read the card first... I usually cry but that is another story... :-)

We love and appreciate you all for loving and remembering us... Pierce just made the comment the other day "how come we celebrate Asher's birthday so long"... I assured him that when he was born we did the same for him...

Week Three... only four hands!

Week 3 as a family of 4 started off with a sad goodbye to ViVi and GD.  We sure were sad to see them go home to Texas but we all (especially trying to explain this to Pierce) were trying to understand that they had to go back to work and back to normal life.  Pierce got to have one more bath with GD dipping his feet in the water... and ViVi got to feed/cuddle Asher one more time...

I was very anxious about the first week without the help and support but we all did well.  Pierce really stepped up as a huge helper and Asher did not seem to mind that I was not able to hold him as much.  And of course we had dads help at night.  We also were getting pumped up for Pierce to start Kindergarten the following week... we visited the parks around our house several times, walked to the store for ice-cream and played inside the flat A LOT... good thing Pierce loves to be home (we have both become home bodies... who would have thought).  Here are some pics of our week together.

As you can see we had lots of time on our hands and got to take a lot of pics... hope you enjoyed them...

And we had a very touching and sweet visit with one of Blake's co-worker (left) and our Pastor one night after dinner.  They came over to pray for us and especially Asher... I really had to hold it together.  Pastor Azel said the sweetest prayer and really meant so much to our family... something I will always remember. We are blessed to have him in our lives as a Pastor and a friend.

More of our second week...

Here are just some random pics of more of our second week with Asher (first week home)... so good memories and already seems so long ago...

Asher already looks so big in his bed... he has taken all of his naps in his bed and loves to spread out.

Asher is not a big fan of the swing, un-like Pierce who would sleep in the swing at night and we would even have to travel with the swing so he would get a good nights rest.

Grandad lovin on his boys...

And we even had our first outing... hamburgers for dinner... my parents had found a great hamburger joint that had outside seating so we had to check it out.

My mom was a huge help in the morning...she would take the morning shift... Asher would start "squawking" around 6 to 7 and my mom would get him from our room and then change his diaper and feed him... which allowed me to get a few more hours of sleep... so nice... my mom would always get a kick out of what Asher would look like in the mornings... here he is in his cocoon and then the next picture is what he would do when we took it off of him... FREEDOM.

We also had our first doctors visit... my mom got in trouble for taking this picture (by the doctor) but I am glad that she took the picture... a little sneak peek at his pedi and her office.

These next pics were all taken within seconds of each other.... look at all his positions while he sleeps... we got a mover...
