A wonderful day of sports...

We anticipated this day for a while... and were so excited it was finally sports day.  Pierce was to wear green (so he wore his Army of the Lord shirt) and get ready to win... The school does such a good job of putting these together and making learning fun for the kids.  It was a great day for sure... here are some pics to prove it.

Someone else was so happy to be there and had a great time... first time to get his hands in real grass and he loved it.

Waiting patiently...

And at the end of the long day they do the "parent race"... since we are new to the upper school I had no idea this was going to happen... but after encouraging my child all day to participate I had to join in RIGHT... even if I had not really done any kind of "racing" in years decades.  So here we go.... BANG...
And out of all those moms... I came in second... the girl who beat me was on a track team in college... go figure...

It was a great day for sure...

Ulsan Spring Festival

The Spring Festival was our first "outing" last year when we arrived and we had a great time... meeting people and being in the sun but not sweating... and this year was even better.  Having been here a year now we knew a lot more people and got to hang with friends and let the kids play... it was a blast.. and this year we were team read (a lot better than last years yellow)...

First race belongs to the kids... check this out and you know the community plate at the end always makes me gag.
In the kids race this year Pierce got a bubble blower... Asher loved it.

And we have surrogate grandparents... they miss their grandkids and we miss our grandparents so it is a win win for all... And Asher and Greg are really cute together.

The infamous people toss... it is a wonder how no one gets major hurt during this race... wow

Asher took all of his naps just like this... my little bubbie... could eat him up.

My big boys getting ready for the three legged race... and this is daddy trying not to get annoyed at me as I am begging him to remember that Pierce is 6 and has shorter legs than him and to please not rip off his leg or break it in the process of trying to win.

A video to see how they did...
Our friend Megan is here for work and she is alone since her fiance is back in Texas... she is a fellow Aggie so we have adopted her as our own.

Friends... our husbands are all on different projects hence the different colors... but we didn't let that stop us from hanging out most of the day.

Blake leading some relay group...

Asher is not so happy here... forget what was happening but I am sure he got over it.

You remember the race that grossed me out... yeah we did it again this year...

We just noticed that Asher was getting his top teeth... wow...

A great day in the sun... with friends... looking forward to next year.

Sinagpore vs. Liverpool...

Liverpool came to Singapore for a football soccer match... who do you think won???

Sunday there was a big group of us that gathered at El Barrio to board a private bus... so we could all go to the game together (in style of course). With LP and SG colors both being red and white... there was alot of red and white... so I wore black and Blake wore maroon... why did we do that... not sure but I was for the underdogs of course.... Go Singapore Lions!
Steve Hardin use to work with Blake and now lives in Borneo, Malaysia but came in for the game.

Here we are all ready on the bus.. what a great ride it was... the bus was 99% for Liverpool... crazy fans they are...

Before the game started... people are still pouring in... check out all that red and everyone got a Singapore flag on the way in.

Was tired of holding the flags so I improvised...

Liverpool in black... Singapore in red.

I was trying to get some good pics but this 'round shiny thing' kept getting in the way (we love you Tim)!

During the game... everyone was standing before it started but after half time most people were sitting... was not a very exciting game... Liverpool won 5 - 0.... so sad.

The food at the game was terrible... and someone had snuck in some pringles... and Valerie and I had to get some of those... I think we ate the whole can... we were so hungry.

After the game we headed back to El Barrio to get our car but first we stopped at the Italian place next door for a calzone with Stephen (who is taking the pic)... yum yum... so good...
We had another great night... but I do have to say we miss going to a good old Aggie Football game right about now.

Here is a Video from Youtube of all the goals... SG 0 - 5 LP... was not a good game for Singapore... but we knew that going into it...
This Video is of the Liverpool banner being passed around on East Zone.... pretty cool.
