So glad to be back...

Thanks to my parents I got to go to College Station Kid Free... which was a huge blessing so I could hang out with my friend Kathy May and just get to love on her (with no distractions)... I also got to see an old friend from College.

From the beginning... I left FTW with the kids in good care and hit the road (just like when I was in college leaving Thanksgiving festivities in FTW and headed back to school).  I was feeling good had the stereo turned up and I was enjoying the scenery of the freeway and then all of a sudden traffic... terrible traffic.  We were being routed off of the freeway and crawling about 5 mph.  I called Kathy and told her what was going on and if she had any other suggestions of how I should get to CS... and she said "I know you are frustrated"... and I told her "how could I possibly be frustrated... I was all alone with no kids, not in a rush, I got the music turned up (my music) and no one needed me... life could not be better and I was not going to let this detour change that... I even rolled down the window and said hello to the officers (now if I had the kids with me that would not have been the case I am sure)... So off we went on an unknown adventure but 30 minutes later I was back on track.

I finally made it to CS and parked on campus and immediately noticed that it was move in day for the the freshman... Oh it was so exciting looking at all the family decked out in maroon, carrying maps of the campus and smiling from the ear the ear (well at the least the kids and the dads, the moms you could see little tears in their eyes).  I walked across campus to go to my old stomping grounds of where I use to work for 3 years, Harrington Tower.  I meet up with Kathy and got to see some professors I use to work with.  Then Kathy and I went for a walk to see the new MSC and see all the changes.  It was a great day filled with many memories.

Right outside Harrington Tower there is a statue with bricks at the feet of it... one of the bricks was for Sara May.

It looks a little different but still the same old flag room... I spent lots of time on those couches hanging out with fellow Aggies for Christ... great times.

After a night of catching up, Kathy and I headed to Sara's plot to spend sometime remembering our sweet Sara and having a good cry together.

Icing on the cake.. I got to have a Starbucks with my dear friend Paige.  What a great 24 hours... I wish I could do this all the time... and the best thing about going to college station and seeing these people it does not matter how much time goes by, we can pick up where we left off... very special for sure.

Flashback... time with friends in Aggieland!

Back in Dec. we were in Texas we stopped in Aggieland to say hello to the Mays'.  Oh how we love that place and those people.  Always a great time and just wish we had many more hours, days (I would even take some minutes) to stay there and get loved on.  And when I mean loved on... we laugh, cry, share and eat (Kathy always makes our favorites).  Here are some pics of our time with Sara and Kathy May and the dogs of course.

We always get to play a couple of rounds of Skipbo with Sara... a favorite for sure but she always cheats... he he he

I guess I am just missing this little lady (hence the late post)... but who could even get tired of this smile.

The lady of the house... Mrs. Kathy May... oh how sweet she has always been to me and my family.  I love you and thanks for always making our stays so pleasant and I never leave her house with out gifts, filled up with love and full belly... who could ask for more.

She even gave Pierce her son's real army hat and Pierce was one excited little boy... I still find him in his room wearing this hat carrying a machine gun.

Can't wait to get back there... and get some hugs.

There are several reasons why I love aggieland...

There are several reasons why I love AGGIELAND... 1) is obvious... the place of Texas A&M University and everything it has to offer, 2) the Aggies for Christ and all the people involved in making that ministry happen, 3) my friends that are still there, and 4) this sweet girl...
On my way back from FTW to Houston I got to stop in College Station... first stop to visit Rachel and her children... we ran to the park and had a great time (but sorry I forgot to take pictures) and then off to the May's I went... Kathy and Sara (her daughter) hold a very special place in my heart... we love them and love to get to see them both.
Friday Kathy took off from work and we all went to the park to hang out and get a short visit with Teresa (who I also use to work with) and her new baby #4... Geris.
Sara on the monkey bars.

Pierce playing McDonald's... we don't eat there but does every kid know what that means... what is up with that.

Baby Geris...don't you just want to eat him...and take him home.

Back at Kathy's house we all got to play on our iTouches... what is this world coming to.

The Aggies for Christ minister Kelly Davidson came to play with Pierce... and I got to sit down with his wife Sarah and catch up...Pierce really loved playing with Kelly... he has really missed rough housing with a man...

Then on Saturday my old friends from college... Paige and Shannon came to visit.. oh what a great visit... and what great friends... I just love these girls...

You can tell by the progression of these pictures... a bit of how sometimes we get out of control and laughter takes over...

I just love Aggieland... love it love it love it and can't wait to go back... Thank you Kathy for housing us and making another great trip full of memories (and thanks for getting me addicted to Words with friends... yuck)... :-)

Good Ol' College Station!

On our way to FTW/Dallas we stopped in College Station to see The Mays, eat some Freebirds and catch a basketball game.... we had so much fun.
I know alot of my blogger readers love Miss Sara May... here is a precious picture of our sweet little Angel... I love you Miss. May.

Pierce had so much fun playing with Matilda Josephina May (aka Matty).

For dinner we headed to Freebirds. Aunt JuJu and Uncle Keith joined in the fun... we love some bird.

After we put Pierce to bed we headed to the TAMU vs. TT basketball game... yes we did win but the best part was learning all the new traditions and changes with the basket ball fans since Blake and I were in college. To my knowledge Basketball was not very big when I was in college... little attendance (and Blake says we were no good)... man things have changed in AggieLand, look at the student section.

While they introduce the other team... the TAMU student section holds up newspapers.... hilarious.

Entertaining half time show... and I am not talking about the Aggie dance team.
And a NEW band... what... they can color their hair maroon, wear hats, have facial hair, dance... what is going on?

OH MYYYYY... have the fans changed???? Check this guy out.. I had to video tape this.. he would perform his duty when the other team was attempting a free throw... wow...I wonder if he is still proud?

The next morning Sara and I drove to Shipleys and got some donuts... this was Pierce's first time to ever have donuts... do you think these two were happy?
Thank you Sara and Kathy for having us... we love you so much and thanks to the Williams for the basketball tickets... we had so much fun.

SATURDAY:

Saturday morning started with leaving Pierce with aunt JuJu and Uncle KW and I went to the Houstonian with my good friend Kara. We celebrated her birthday and anniversary. Starbucks and a book in hand we are ready to go.

I love the Houstonian... not only do you get rubbed on but you get to sit in the hot tub, sauna and waiting pool. So much fun.

After our massage we headed to the Tranquility room.... a must when you visit the Houstonian. Here is Kara taking a little nap... I need one of these rooms in my next room... it is a toss up between the Tranquility room and the scrapbooking room... Blake is now having a fit reading this... HE HE HE

After the Houstonian... I got Pierce and we headed to The Meriwethers new house for supper club. For several years now Blake and I have been a part of a great group of people and we meet once a month for Supper Club. We always have so much fun. The above picture is of the girls (excluding Lindsay Countryman who could not make it this time) and the baby is Carter who belongs to Jordan in the middle. Alaina is sitting next to me and she is expecting little Ethan Thomas in Dec. Next to Jordan is Amanda and Jessica.

SUNDAY:
We spent the night at the Meriwethers and we all got a good nights rest in their new beautiful home... the above picture.
Here are the boys in the morning... Tom and Pierce.
Then we headed to church... In hopes to catch up with my good friend Renee with skipped Bible study (shame shame) and sat outside to play with her little one Lydia... isn't she so cute?
Renee and Lydia
Still going.. after Church Pierce and I headed to the Granthams for lunch. I fed Pierce quickly and then put him down for a nap and then I got to hang out with the babies. The Granthams have baby Watson (on the left) and my good friend Emily and her husband Kris came in from Longview this weekend and I got to meet Zackary (on the right). Another fun afternoon with good friends.

These two girls were the first girls in Houston that I told that I was prego with Pierce and I am so thrilled to meet their little ones now... Both Watson and Zack were born when I was in Singapore so this was our first meeting.

Mandy and Watson. The Granthams were neighbors of mine and I miss them so.

The Thornton Family... Kris, Emily and Zack.

After Pierce woke up we headed to The Fischers house. John Fischer is Blake's business partner and I have really grown to love and adore their family John, Mandy and Madison. Pierce really had a great time chasing their dog and playing with Madison.

Mandy had cookies waiting for Madison and Pierce to eat together... here they are devouring their cookies. So cute.... Madison is really a sweet adorable little girl.

After we left the Fischers (in Katy) we headed to College Station to visit with the Mays, Kathy and Sara. Kathy was my boss in college and Sara was one of my bridesmaids... I love this family so.
Pierce had so much fun with Sara's walker... look at that smile.

And he adored their dog, Matilda Josephina May.

Monday morning we headed out to Forth Worth.

I love this little girl!

MONDAY:
We meet with Katy and Zoe Garner at Starbucks and toured Target to keep the kids entertained while we caught up. (Sorry no pictures I am so bummed)
Then after lunch in College Station we headed to Fort Worth.
It is now Monday night and we are here at ViVi and Grandad's... we are now going to get some rest.
200+ miles, 12 families, 13 kids, 5 houses, 3 days, 2 Dentons, 1 happy mama.... we are calling it a night! See you tomorrow.
