I just love doing Then and Nows... time needs to slow down... Pierce is wearing the same shorts in all the pics (2009 and 2010) but my how he has grown.

Friends and Bikes... does not get much better.

We are just loving our new place for many reasons... but some of the top reasons are bc we can have lots of room for friends to come and play (even have a couch that fits 3 small children lying down) and we have room to ride our bike around and have fun at our new home...

Pierce is getting much better on his bike... here Daddy is saying hey go this way and Pierce is off in another direction... which is a huge step bc that means he can now pedal on his own we are still getting the hang of steering but we are getting there. There is not a lot of room to ride our bike at the condo but for learning it is perfect except for the part about how we are surrounded by bodies of water... ooppssss.
Oh all the little things that make us happy.

Cooking with Tita!

This is Tita's (also known as Mary) first blog entry... she is a new addition to our home and we love having her with us.... there is a lot of cooking going on the kitchen and Pierce wants to be a part of it all the time. Here is Tita and Pierce baking cookies... so many smiles.

I am sure there will be more baking and more pics of Tita and Pierce. And just in case you were wondering the cookies were awesome and we can't wait until the next batch.

Craft day with Teacher Jennifer!

My friend Jennifer teaches her kids at home and in the past they have done some cute crafts... so I told her to invite us over on the next craft day bc we wanted to join in the fun.

So here we are paining pumpkins and making paper pumpkins.... the kids had so much fun but I think I had more fun hanging with my girl friends and trying to make the biggest pumpkin...

Here Caleb is holding the normal size pumpkin and Pierce is holding mine ( I wish I could say he made it but this was the only time he touched the thing was to take this picture... he he he).

Thanks Jennifer, Caleb and Levi for letting us come to craft day... when is the next one?

More pumpkins... and more of the patch!

We had another wonderful HOT morning at the SAS pumpkin patch... these pumpkins come from the states on a boat... and not sure how they arrive in such good condition but if you decide to carve the pumpkin or if it does accidentally get a hole in it... it is a matter of days before it is covered in mold and starts to leak... yucky stuff... but it worth it.... no where else on the island will you find a little taste of fall.

Here is Pierce with his friends Violet, Caleb and Levi...

I have given up on trying to get the "sweet" smile from Pierce... this is what we get but at least we get him to sit still long enough for this... so I will take it.

I just love this boy...

Yes his shirt does say "Pierce Rocks"...

Sweet kisses for Sweet Violet... Happy Fall!

Photography 101...

The past summer I was able to take a photography 101 class with Ray Tan here in Singapore. I opted for the one on one class and I learned so much... If you have a great camera and I find yourself overwhelmed with all the buttons and what it can do... don't be call Ray.

Here are just a few of our favorite shots while taking the class. We had 10 sessions, most of them at home learning the ins and outs... and 3 outings... 2 day time and 1 night... check out the photos...

I do have to give you an intro for most of the pics... they are a bit artsy but we were looking to capture the light and shadows and some of them are really cool looking.

I do have to give credit to the next one the cat... Ray took this with my camera it was killing him that I could not get the shot... after about 15 tries this was his one... awesome.

The one above is my shot of the temple in China Town behind this amazing gate with an elephant... and the next one belongs to Ray.
The next picture I shot at China Town and out of all our classes and all the photos I took this is Ray's favorite. He likes how some of the people are moving and some are so still they are crystal clear... he just wished that I would have got the ladies feet... I had a lot of that going on.

This next one is one of my favorites... slow shutter speed to make the car look fuzzy but quick enough to get the old man riding the bike.

The next shots were taking during our night session at the marina and they just happen to be practicing for National Day... check out some of the shots we got.

We knew there were going to be fireworks bc we could see them setting them up and then a lot of photographers (professionals) were setting up where we were so we knew we had a good spot. I had so much pressure to get the first firework bc he said it was the best one... bc the second one had smoke from the first... so we set up the tripod and then I had him set up all the dials and then take the shot with the remote control and since you had to time it just perfect I really wanted him to do it... and this was his shot... amazing.

A little trick he taught me...

The beautiful marina.

I had a great time learning... just need to practice... looking forward to taking the second course where we learn about composition.
