Things I will miss about WG...

Goodbye Waterfall Gardens... here are just a few things I will miss about you...

1)  Your refrigerator - you are such a beauty and I will miss everything about you including the beeping sound you made when I left your door open to long and also the food (like that chicken enchilada and lasagna) that just magically appeared in you every day.

2) Your pool - oh the many days we have spent with you deciding whether we should stay in the shallow side with your waterfall or the go to the deeper Olympic size pool next to the spa... oh the decisions...

3)  Your tennis court - which we have spent many long HOT hours together.  There are days that I have left you on cloud nine and others where I have felt like dirt... but I always came back to spend more time with you...

4)  Your one and only Tita... that did so much in our home but especially all the ironing that took place.  everything from our underwear to our sheets to our t-shirts were ironed... it will never be the same.

5)  Your elevator -  you have lifted us up and taken us down... but no matter which direction you were the only one who could get us there.

6)  Your bathtub - your faithfulness to the guarantee of relaxation was dynamite.  You have made a young child's wash time so fun and a mom's relaxation time superb.  You will be missed.

So much more that we will miss about you WG... you have been good to us. Thank You!

Ready for the packers...

This week has been one whirlwind... we are officially as of yesterday no longer living in our condo (so sad) which has caused this week to be so busy... a good busy but a bunch of sad goodbyes too.  Here is what our house looked like at the beginning of the week... we were ready for the packers.  Also let me just say I had no idea what we were getting ourselves in... we have never had packers pack us... we (well this was actually Blake's first time to be here during a move... YEAH) have always done it ourselves (with lots of help from family and friends)... I was a bit anal about getting everything organized, cleaned, and vacuum sealed... which really was not sure if it was necessary but it sure did help me process it all.  We had stuff everywhere and lots of stuff was not put in it place but it was really staged for things to pack, things not to pack, things to take with us in our suitcases, things to give away, etc... Enjoy our organized chaos.

I really want to take my spices with me... I hear you can't find some of them in Korea where we are going... hope they make it.

Pierce would come home everyday from school and find a new mess... and say "oh my"... he did really well with all the change and difference in his home... especially now as I write this we are sitting in a hotel... he is doing great... Stay tuned to see how the pack out went...

Aggie Muster 2012 in Singapore!

I really can't believe that Muster is here again... it feels like we were here just yesterday celebrating the fallen aggies in 2011... wow where does time go.  Once again all of us Aggies that just happen to be in Singapore joined together at Brewerks to answer roll call for the fallen Aggies all around the world.  A very special tradition and this was the first year we got to tell Pierce that if you become an aggie (class of 25) then your life will always be celebrated by all aggies in the world.  He liked that and was happy to be a part of it this year.

The next picture is funny to so many people that were there bc Brewerks is like a traditional American Burger/Brew House and our son looked at the kid menu that had hot dogs, pizza, spaghetti, fish and chips and said "no thank you"... so we got him something off the adult menu he would be happy with... Calamari and Edamame.. our little Asian kid for sure...

The Aggies that attended Muster 2012 in Singapore... Sad that this will be our last muster in Singapore but looking forward to doing this in Korea next year.

After all the fun and fellowship we had to get some japanese ice cream... Pierce calls it the "Triangle Ice cream"... yummy

A girls mini StayCay...

A girls mini staycay at Marina Bay Sands... our little group of 6 has been traveling together for some time now and we just could not fit in another trip before 2 of us leave so we decided to have a little staycay (a vacation when you stay in the city you live) at the infamous MBS.  Oh what a great time and many more memories for our group was made.  It was not long enough but so glad we got to get away together and have one last laugh (or a lot of laugh) together in Singapore...

What the hotel is known for... an infinity pool looking over the marina of Singapore.

Check out the view of the Singapore flyer out of our hallways window... and there just happen to be some sort of run going on... lots of people.

My girls... oh how I love each and everyone of them... they truly have hearts of gold and have made this chapter of our time in Singapore very very special.

Me and Shannon... check out that belly (and no I am not talking about Shannon).

Jamie and Ashley

Lori and Traci...

View from our suite... and oh was it sweet.

We got upgraded to a suite and it was perfect... we rarely left the room except when we wanted to get some sun and get some food... wish I had one more night with these girls...

More memories to be made... for sure... until then...

Grandad is here...

We have been counting down until Grandad's trip for about a month... someone would ask almost everyday is he coming today, this person would also run to school or to anyone that would listen and tell them that his grandad was coming.  Well the day has finally arrived and we are all on cloud nine.  Grandad is here for business so ViVi was not able to come (which we are still very sad about) but you GD came bearing gifts and lots of hugs from ViVi.
If Grandad is in the room... Pierce is usually right beside him... and then GD looks at me and says "my buddy".  Thanks Grandad for spending time with us while you are here for work.

One happy boy to have his dad and GD... look at that smile.

Cooking with Tita...

Our last week in our condo... we sure do have a lot going on and anticipating all the last... but here is one that we will miss greatly... Tita... what will we do without Tita... she has really become a member of our family and none of us are really talking about it... we know the time is coming that we have to say goodbye but until then we are going to get a lot of Tita time, Tita food and just plain Tita.  Tita knows my love for cooking (that does not exist) so she has taken it upon herself to teach Pierce how to cook so he can take care of mommy and daddy in Korea... here are some pics of them making some of Tita's famous flax seed bread.

Another last...

Our time is slipping by here in Singapore... and we are continuing to do a bunch of last... last weekend we went to our old stopping grounds on the west coast with our neighbors... Margarita's.  Blake, Pierce and I use to walk to the restaurant almost every Friday when we lived at our first place.  We had to go back for one more great Mexican food dinner with friends...

We wanted to get a pic of the kids... and Heather was taking the picture and she was counting 1.2.3 with the hopes of getting a good smile... but on 2 Pierce slipped his arm around Audrey... we cracked up and Audrey screamed "EUWWWWW".  We are going to miss this place and miss our neighbors for sure... and miss Mexican food.
