After a wonderful church service on Easter where we are reminded what Easter is all about... and this year our Pastor did a great job to remind us not to just let Easter change our day but to change our life we headed to the Rusinski's for a yearly Easter tradition... that consisted of great food, wonderful fellowship, some rain, an egg hunt and making more memories. A friend and I were just commenting how nice this tradition is of getting together bc it really feels like family... the mix of people that show up have various age range of children, different backgrounds and lots of stories. It really felt like the kids were cousins and we were all getting together to celebrate the year and honor our Risen King.
We all bring some good food... and this year was another great year to get full.
Here our some of our treats...
This year Pierce did a great job at dying the eggs... here is the finished product... we learned how to make the crackle look off of Pinterest and they are so pretty.
Tita's infamous Chicken enchilada's.
Just some of the people that gathered around to pray before we ate...
After food, rest from being stuffed, getting our finger slammed in a door (yes that was pierce), playing all around the house and wasting time bc there was a torrential down pour outside... it was time for the egg hunt... and off they went.
Pierce was so busy getting tons of eggs I could not get him to look at me for a second to get a good pic... he would say mom I got to go... there are more eggs...
Finally when there were no more eggs... he slowed down... look at all those blond haired babes...
Look what I got...
Family picture time... Pierce wanted to swim but I told him go grab daddy for a picture and I think they both sighed...but they smiled anyways...
We were running late so we did not get a family picture before all the festivities so we took one at home afterwards when everyone was ready to get in PJ's and lie flat... but this is what we got... Happy Easter to all... He is Risen... He is Risen Indeed! We are Blessed!
