I just can not believe that our little man is 2... oh how I love this little man. The cutest little Pilot in the world. So cute... this was actually taken after the party, after a nap and he wanted to get all dressed up again and go and sit on the run way. Playing with his airplanes. He just would not put down the planes...

During the party I had everyone that wanted to participate make parachute jumpers and then we had a contest... who ever had the longest air time won... it was a great game and lots of fun.

After lunch, parachute race, fellowship...it was time to open presents... Pierce was a little overwhelmed... he would open a present and then want to play with it... he has not learn the art of opening all the presents and then playing. After his nap we had to play with the airplane geotrax toy... so cool. After playing the boys went and watched a movie outside... does someone look tuckered? I had to get a picture with my little handsome man...
Then we had to look at the all the stars and the moon before bed... another favorite thing Pierce likes to do...
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN PIERCE" ... thanks to everyone who came the party... we had so much fun and look forward to year 3.
Introducing Captain Pierce.... of Pierce Airlines. For Pierce's 2nd birthday we had a Airplane Party.... bc he is in love with planes (go figure). With my mom's help (ViVi) we put together an airplane themed party for friends and family. We sent everyone an invitation in the shape of an airplane for this past Saturday the 31st. of January (Pierce's bday is the 4th....we sure do know how to spread it out). I got this costume on-line... isn't he cute... and these porcelain airplane treasure boxes that he is holding were the take away thank you gifts... inside each is a little procelain pilot.
The day before the party, Blake took Pierce to Dallas so Grandad, ViVi and I could get everything ready and it could be a surprise.... this is what he saw when he first arrived to the house for his party.... a runway with flying planes.

The check in table... where you get your name tag and bag of pretzels... just like the airlines.
Baggage Claim... Since it was so pretty outside we wanted people to sit outside... so here is Gate 2... our waiting area... before you enter Gate 2 everyone was instructed to grab their lunch (which was in a Japan Airlines barf bag (thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for picking these up when they visited Singapore)... yes we ate our lunches out of a barf bag. Inside was a sandwich, chips and fruit.
As people would leave the party... they would see the Departure sign... I made all of these signs with my Cricut.... I love my Cricut.
On all the TV's inside and out there was a video playing that I made via Shutterfly with all the highlights from 2008 (Pierce's 2nd year of life). Here is a picture of the cake (no I did not make it and there was a little drama with the cake when it first arrived which I will write about later)...and more pictures of those cute little treasure boxes. Thanks to ViVi and her friend Tammy they spent 6 hours in the kitchen making these cute little airplane cookies... thank you so much for all your hard work... not only were they cute they were GOOOOOOD.

I baked cookies for the students... I heard they were a big hit and here is Pierce feeding the teacher (I left the camera at school so they could take pictures for me).
I think this is where they sung Happy Birthday to Pierce and he gave Mrs. Lee a big air kiss.. so sweet... but why is he standing and everyone is sitting?
Pierce and I made goodie bags for the students full of candy, cars, noise makers, Slinky's and dinosaurs (all Pierce's favorite things). Mrs. Lee had them all sitting down and was about to show them what was inside...
And this is what happened... stampede!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great 4th of Jan... we celebrated all day long. We went to church in the morning came home had peanut butter for the first time, took a nap, went to the pool and then we headed to Margarita's for dinner. Before dinner Blake and I just sat and watched our big boy playing with his train set... he is so gentle with it and loves it so much. While we were swimming we asked our neighbors to join us for dinner.... here we are walking to Margarita's. Here we are at Margarita's for a 2 year birthday bash.

This is their sweet baby boy August... look at those eyes.
Here are their two very sweet girls, Anna Sophie and Alberta helping Pierce open his present.
He loves his first BMW.... WOW. Here is our clan at Margarita's.... they wait on us every week and they love Pierce.... they know what he wants to eat and how to make his juice (half water half juice) and they always greet him with a smile but when we told him he turned 2 today they did not believe us they had always thought he was 3 or 4. Thank you ladies for always taking such good care of us.
Those eyes are still so blue and still steal my heart.
When you ask Pierce how old he is, he will say 2 but still holds up that infamous solo pointer finger... we are trying.

It is party time... Now it is kungfu time... I think he was ready to go home.
Here Pierce is blowing out his candles... we never taught him this... just another SCARY realization that he is soaking everything in... We are so proud of him.
