Pierce loves to Dance!
You have got to check these two video's out of Pierce dancing... he loves to dance anytime he hears music... is this my son or what?
This video is hilarious for two reasons... one Pierce is dancing to Avery's slide show music for her 1st birthday and second if you look at the video that is Avery jumping in the jumper and her mother put the original video to a rap song about Jumping Around... Priceless... does it get any better than that?
OK... this is not what I thought it was and Pierce is not really dancing but I thought it must have been cute enough to save... he loves music and he loves radios... he wanted me to join him in listening to the music at this Halloween Party on Avery's street... I thought it was cute that he came to get me at the end. And he looks really cute in his Halloween costume.

Happy 1st Birthday Avery!
Happy 1st Birthday sweet Girl Avery! You are such a jewel to so many people (already) and you will never really understand how much of a blessing you are to your parents. We have prayed for you, dreamed of you and wished for you and it is so hard to believe you are one... I can not wait and am so honored to watch you grow into the precious woman God has created you to be. I will continue to pray for you and I know you and Pierce will be friends for life. Avery Baby I love you!
Here are most of the kids that attended her birthday party. It was a huge hit and it was so good to see everyone. See Pierce sitting like a big boy in the front row with that big grin.... it only took 20 shots to get this one... and check out that birthday girl... so happy!
Avery and her daddy Matt!
Pierce had so much fun at the party... he had a blast playing with all the big boys outside.
And playing with the girls in the make believe sand box (a box with no sand).
And then he decided to throw something... do you see the sweet girl beside him telling him NO.
Throwing the ball... Last year when they were doing a big spread on the Manning brothers during football season... I remember seeing a picture like this of one of the Manning boys... you never know we could be sharing this picture with the nation someday when Pierce is a famous football player. HE HE HE

Election Night!
For the past 30 minutes I have been reading everyone's blogs, emails and web commentary on the 2008 Election... and I could not agree more with most of the information that I have read... I am scared too. If you have been reading my blog you know by now that I am a conservative christian republican that voted for McCain/Palin. The prayers as I said them did not come true (McCain/Palin to win) but I know that my God is bigger than that and HE will deliver mine and many of yours prayers in regards to this past election.
I can not help but to think back to Exodus in the bible and remember Pharaoh and his army. The story begins with how badly the Hebrew slaves were treated by the Pharaoh and the order that the Pharaoh wanted all the Hebrew male babies killed. It proceeds on with the birth of Moses. We then learn all about the unique life Moses led and we begin to learn what plan God had in store for Moses. Soon, the plan is revealed and the plaques were leashed on Egypt. The story ends with a happy ending for the Hebrews but not for the Pharoah and his people.
There is a "Happy Ending" for us... let us remember God's ultimate plan and lean on Him and not whom holds the title "President of the United States of America".
Many of you have shared the below snippet but I wanted to share it with those who have not see it yet.
These facts are still true:
1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.
ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE
My parents were invited to an election party last night so I wanted to have my own while we were waiting for the results. So I invited Shelly and Avery to come over. I ran to Old Navy and got these cute outfits for Pierce and Avery and then we headed to Freebirds to celebrate our Freedom to Vote.
Shelly hates this picture but I just love it... here Shelly is eating a Monster Freebird for her and the little baby in her tummy and then there is cute little Avery eating rice puffs.

Tricking people and getting Treats!
We decided that HALLOWEEN would be the big reveal day for my parents (ViVi and Grandad). They had no idea that we were in town and I thought it would be cool if we just showed up on their door step saying "Trick or Treat"... well when we were planning our trip home I talked to my parents and found out that they had a party to go to... that put a damper in things but with Shelly's help we were still able to pull off the big surprise.
On Halloween day, Shelly called Grandad that afternoon and said that I had shipped her a package to put together for them (the grandparents) for Halloween and that Shelly was going to be in the neighborhood and wanted to drop it off. She also told him that I wanted it to be a surprise but since they were at a party Shelly thought she should get Grandad in on it but still wanted it to be a surprise for ViVi. Well Grandad did not think anything of it and told her where the party was.
I arrived in Grand Prairie around 3pm and Shelly had a block party to go to first... we joined her with the kids all dressed up for an early dinner and then we headed to Fort Worth. Shelly was as excited as we were to head to Fort Worth for the big surprise. She is such a good friend.
Here are the kids dressed up. Shelly bought Pierce's costume... he was a Sheriff/Cowboy and I bought Avery's outfit and she was a little China Doll.
Pierce playing games and getting into everything (got to love the age 2).
OK... we arrived at the party and told the host at the door what we were doing and he was happy to go along with the surprise and lead us into the house to where my parents were. ViVi and Grandad where talking to some people, Pierce was with Shelly and Matt and I was hiding with the camera. I was in the back of them when finally they realized that this little boy was their Grandson. The conversation went something like this:
Shelly and Matt: (smiling) "Hello"
Grandad: (stunned and so happy) "Vickie look who's here"
Vivi: (shocked) "What are you doing here (talking to Matt)" (confused) "This kid looks just like my grandson (removing the hat)- see picture above
Grandad: "Vickie its Pierce"
ViVi: (still shocked) "Somebody pinch me... what is going on."
Camille: "SURPRISE"
It was a big hit and everyone loved the surprise... Pierce did not know what to do bc he was not so sure about the wigs and make-up..but with all the kisses and hugs he soon figured out these people were cool.
We all decided to go trick or treating down the street.

Here is a family picture of Matt, Shelly and Avery (I could never get her to look at the camera she was to interested in the big pumpkin).

More Trick or Treating.

While Pierce was Trick or Treating with Vivi and Grandad; Avery, her parents and I headed back to my parents house to look at the new renovations and let Avery play. Here Avery is playing with some flowers and we all thought this picture looked a little Asian to go along with her outfit.
When Pierce got home they were both going up and down the stairs over and over again. Time for bed.
