Mother's Day Mandarin Concert... at ICS!

Pierce had a Mother's Day Mandarin Performance his last week of school... Blake was not able to be there since he was already in Korea but we both are so proud of him.  He knows more Mandarin than both Blake and I put together... and really enjoys singing (and dancing)... so this was perfect he would come home and practice for this show all the time.  He did a great job and really seemed to be into this year... We sure will miss opportunities like this in Singapore and to see him with all his classmates.

This is Pierce's first performance where he seemed really to be into all the songs and we are so proud...
QUACK QUACK... mandarin style. We are so thankful that Pierce had this time at ICS learning Mandarin... we are trying to keep him counting in Mandarin everyday and show him these videos to keep up the singing... we just don't want him to loose it... his Mandarin teach would appreciate that :-).

Friday Flashback... ICS Christmas Concert!

We have so much to catch you up on... so welcome to Flashback Friday... we are going all the way back to Dec 2011... the ICS Christmas Concert... Pierce with his elementary friends performed a concert for the parents we were all so proud...

There is our little man wearing a green shirt on the front row on the end (within arms reach of the teacher I don't think that was a coincindenc).

You have got to see these videos so cute.. one Pierce is belting it out and towards the end he is getting bored... all so cute.

Afterwards he was so happy to be finished... and back with mommy and daddy.  We are proud of you little man.

A great night for sure... just wish we could have family near us to share this with... we know all the grandparents and aunts and uncles would have been there to cheer him on...

Elton John in SIngapore.

An Early Christmas present for ViVi and Grandad were tickets to Elton John in Singapore... now how many people can say they have seen Elton John in Singapore... it was a great night... with family and friends.

I will never get over sitting at a concert... I mean we don't even sit at football games... but that is how it is done in Singapore... we never stood up unless we had to go the toilet... but it was worth the urge to want to stand up...

Eagles...

Just to keep with the concert streak... we had a great time at the EAGLES... we had really great seat behind the stage and the best part we were up and personal and got front row to what the EAGLES saw (their view looking out)... I do have to say I have never seen so many people sit for an EAGLES concert (even to the songs that you should get up and dance too)... Melt your heart... take it easy...
In this picture you can see the 3 people that stood up for the Eagles concert...I so wish I could have joined them. The end... people finally stand up and wave good bye... They even came back to us... and said goodbye... what a great night.

The Crazy Love Tour... Michael Buble 2011

Singapore had some great concerts this year (so far)... and we sure have been having fun listening to some good music with friends... my birthday I went to Janet Jackson and for Blake's we went to Michael Buble... this is my second time to see him in concert but Blake's first and he is by far our favorite... we love us some Buble... some pics and videos of our night...

Up Close and Personal - he walked through the crowd and came to a small stage in the back... amazing.

Buble impersonating the other Michael.. MJ. So good...

Amazing... if you watch any video you must watch this one... He sings to us without a microphone... ask the crowd to be quiet (has music just loud enough for him to hear), sounds acappella to us... and the most touching moment I have ever seen in a concert... his voice is amazing.

Here is a longer version of the above song... when he was singing with the microphone and then we hear the sax and then he takes the mic away... and you get his raw voice... longer version but so worth it... this was filmed in Australia... so amazing...

Janet Jackson in Singapore!

You know I am trying to play catch up... so here was a fun Girl's Night out... Janet Jackson was coming to Singapore and I begged my friends to go with me for my birthday... I knew I could never get Blake to go but some of my sweet friends said YES... they are so sweet and we all had a great time... Just a little disclaimer it was Janet's hit from the 80's... oh so good.

Happy Birthday to me... we started the night out at Brewerks... and if you look closely I had a friend give me fake eye lashes to wear... so I was of course sporting them...

We got there right on time and Janet did not come for another hour or so... she made us wait but it was so worth it...

All of these pics and the below video was taken on my phone so they are not that good (I got caught with my big camera and they had to hold it for me)... but you get the picture... Janet is like 40 something and can still dance like she is 20... she made me tired just watching her... she was awesome.
