Look who we brought back from Texas...

Daddy came back to Korea a week before we did... and I really wanted someone to come back with us to help me out with the kiddo's on the long journey and I really wanted some time with Mama May.... so she came back with us... and oh what fun we had...

Here we are on one of the many mode's of transportation... see Kathy's hand on the right...

Here she is... we are all so happy to have her here with us in Korea...

We came home to a bunch of Christmas decorations... and we put her to work...

But we also had a lot of fun too... Kathy's wish list was short... and I think we did it all... visit a temple, eat Korean BBQ, eat Kimchi, and eat a water chestnut...

We had a great time at a temple on the water...

We wanted to get a picture of Kathy rubbing a Buddha's belly... and the only one we could find was their fertility god... she was reluctant but we finally got a picture...

We also went to the beach with all the seagulls... a windy cold but beautiful day... more pics to come.

We did get to spend a lot of time at home just chatting and hanging out... we kept our hands busy doing this crazy puzzle.. it was fun... the puzzle picture was way different from the picture provided (part of the puzzle).

This picture is not in order... but this was the first day Kathy was with us... we got up and went hiking... the best jet lag medicine ever...

And we got to see the frozen waterfall... beautiful...

And we had a lot of good food... I love showing Kathy new things, especially food... she enjoys every bite and spends the rest of the day always saying how good it was... and it was good.

One of the last days we went exploring the beach on a little hike... it was really windy but Asher was nice and bundled up.

And there was some much need R&R...

We even went to a Tai chi class... here we are showing off our moves for Blake...

It was so good to have time with Kathy... it was hard on many occasions to see her without Sara and there would be many times where I would look into her eyes and see Sara May looking back at me.  We spent many hours talking about Sara and all the things we loved about her, we wished she had been  with us here in Korea many times but then rejoiced once again that she was healed.  We miss our Sara May but I know she was so happy to see me and her mama having a great time in Korea... and that is what we did.

Singapore in Texas...

One great thing about being in the oil business and traveling the world... is that you meet other oil business families that travel the world... but the best thing is... a huge percent of them seem to be ending up in HOUSTON, TX... this trip back home was the first time where I got to meet up with some good friends from Singapore... it is crazy how we all had to travel half way around the world to meet/or get closer... I am so thankful for each one of them.

The Willerton's... I actually went to college with both mom and dad Willerton but did not know them that well... we became great friends and neighbors in Singapore... they are back in Houston and will always be a stop on my list when I come home... and our boys are the same age... Pierce is sandwiched by their oldest and middle... and the babies are weeks apart.

The Harkless's... met them in Singapore and so blessed by their friendship... we have spent many dinners/holidays as "make-do" family in Singapore and will always have that bond... and love their girls...

Buds... sad to see these two say goodbye to each other... again.

Asher and Isaac... they too will be buds someday.

So wish we were neighbors again...

And here are more Singapore friends... we were all spread out in Houston... and some surrounding cities... so we picked a central Chik fil A and meet up... We were all so happy to see each other I felt I had to explain to some people around us that were there just for lunch, what was going on.

So So good to see them all again...

Love me some Lori.. she set up the whole thing and was headed back to Singapore... I asked her if I could fit into her suitcase... such a sweet heart.

It was kind of sad to see Pierce with all his friends again... it was like they could just pick up exactly where they left off... refreshing and sad to say goodbye yet again... When I stop and think about Pierce and all that he has to deal with as a child of living in a different country and visiting "home", saying goodbye to friends all the time and really not being able to count on "what tomorrow will look like"... I am amazed at his ability to do so and still function... at times it still gets me all confused and seems to take awhile to get my head out of the fog... but not Pierce.. he is resilient and capable.  Love this little man to pieces...

ViVi and Grandad came to H-town...

One our last 2 days in Texas... ViVi and Grandad came down to Houston to help out with packing and organizing storage... my parents truly are the king and queen of packing and consolidating... who better to call and when you call them... they always come... so thankful.

We did a lot of work but we also had some fun... They stayed with us at the Aunt JuJu's and Uncle KW's house so that just allowed us to have some group family time and more quality time after the kids went to bed... so fun... I wish we could do it every time.

One day Grandad took Pierce to the Science Museum for some dudes time... and mom and I went shopping and had some Sushi... I had been in the states for almost 3 weeks and not had sushi yet... well it was worth the wait bc we went to RA sushi in Houston and it was so so Yummy...

Home at H-Town...

Need to really catch up... so sorry for the lack of words... but words could never express how much we love being in Houston with our favorite people...

Pierce loves his Aunt JuJu... can you tell...

And we even put Uncle KW to work... he loved it...

We got to celebrate Pierce's birthday in every city we went to... Happy 6th bday buddy... where has time gone.

Love from Aunt JuJu and Uncle KW... they know exactly what Pierce loves...

Fun in the bath...

For Pierce's birth DAY... Daddy took him to Memorial City (becoming a tradition) to go ice skating... well needless to say Pierce does not get his skill (or lack of skill) on the ice from his daddy...

Daddy is just itching to go fast.. so he places Pierce on the wall and makes a lap...

Even a sweet visit from Cousin Lauren... and her hubby John... always a good time.

Now there was a lot of dancing... and you have got to check out the video to see Uncle KW and Pierce doing "gangnam style"... a must see... get ready to pee in your pants.

See I told you... you would laugh.

Even got an extra special touch of love from a friend I met in Singapore that was visiting her home in Texas for a bit and we happen to be in town at the same time... I love me some Cara time...

And thanks to Aunt JuJu... she watched the kids and let me go to Beth Moore's bible study in Houston on the opening night... I met a good friend of mine there and got some WORD... a very special night for me and one that still to this day has me "filled up"...

We are blessed and try very hard never to take any of this granted....
