Love me some time with friends from Singapore...

The friendships we made in Singapore will last forever... I love these girls and all their children.

We all call Texas (Houston) home so it makes it a great meeting place in the summer...

Three of us had had children since we had last seen each other... God is good.

Isaac and Asher are a couple of weeks apart and I hate that I could not be with his mom during our pregnancy, birth and baby stage... but look at these two now... they will be friends for life I am sure...

Isaac was very sweet and still... however Asher was taking his toys and moving all around.

The four amigos... love these girls.

Look at all the children... makes me smile.

I just couldn't decide which pic I liked the best... so you got them all.

GiGi's new summer house... pretty nice... and a great place for our kids to run and play.  Can't wait to do it again next summer.

Someone had so much fun... they passed out on the way to JuJu's.

Singapore in Texas...

One great thing about being in the oil business and traveling the world... is that you meet other oil business families that travel the world... but the best thing is... a huge percent of them seem to be ending up in HOUSTON, TX... this trip back home was the first time where I got to meet up with some good friends from Singapore... it is crazy how we all had to travel half way around the world to meet/or get closer... I am so thankful for each one of them.

The Willerton's... I actually went to college with both mom and dad Willerton but did not know them that well... we became great friends and neighbors in Singapore... they are back in Houston and will always be a stop on my list when I come home... and our boys are the same age... Pierce is sandwiched by their oldest and middle... and the babies are weeks apart.

The Harkless's... met them in Singapore and so blessed by their friendship... we have spent many dinners/holidays as "make-do" family in Singapore and will always have that bond... and love their girls...

Buds... sad to see these two say goodbye to each other... again.

Asher and Isaac... they too will be buds someday.

So wish we were neighbors again...

And here are more Singapore friends... we were all spread out in Houston... and some surrounding cities... so we picked a central Chik fil A and meet up... We were all so happy to see each other I felt I had to explain to some people around us that were there just for lunch, what was going on.

So So good to see them all again...

Love me some Lori.. she set up the whole thing and was headed back to Singapore... I asked her if I could fit into her suitcase... such a sweet heart.

It was kind of sad to see Pierce with all his friends again... it was like they could just pick up exactly where they left off... refreshing and sad to say goodbye yet again... When I stop and think about Pierce and all that he has to deal with as a child of living in a different country and visiting "home", saying goodbye to friends all the time and really not being able to count on "what tomorrow will look like"... I am amazed at his ability to do so and still function... at times it still gets me all confused and seems to take awhile to get my head out of the fog... but not Pierce.. he is resilient and capable.  Love this little man to pieces...

Easter at the Willertons!

Playing catch up.... lets go all the way back to April shall we... Pierce and his friends celebrating Easter with a good old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt at the Willerton's. Jennifer is a home schooler mom so you better believe the kids had some great crafts and activities before the Easter egg hunt and swimming. Thanks to a great mom and Oriental Trading the day was set... and we had a blast.

Here are the kids doing their craft and egg magnet...

There was much excitement in anticipation for the egg hunt... this was the second year for the egg hunt so Pierce knew exactly what was in store... The Willerton's go way out on the eggs and there are plenty for the kids...

Jennifer holding Anastasia...
Pierce with Violet and Elyse... Pierce is about 6 to 8 months older than these girls... and he looks like a giant... what is this kid eating...
Sweet Miles.. I just love this picture.

Now time for a resurrection Sunday activity... sticker activity set... yeah.

The kids all lined up for the hunt.
Off they go...

I think us parents have as much fun... some of the men were in charge of hiding and we parents had to help the kids a little... but I think that was on purpose to keep us entertained...
The boys stuck together.. I kept telling Pierce he would find more if he split up... good luck right?
Look at all those eggs...
Pierce and Violet...

Another great year celebrating "the tomb was empty" with friends... that I consider like family. Thank you Jennifer, Justin, Caleb and Levi for a great afternoon and making this years Easter a memorable one.
