A day with Dons!

...

Tonya and Esan left in the morning back to Thailand but I got the rest of the day with Dons... and it was a busy day trying to see all of Singapore in a couple of hours... but by visiting the Singapore Flyer and China Town we got to see alot... it was a great day with Dionne but I had to say goodbye to her that night... I felt like I had a my people with me for a weekend and then before I knew it they were gone... I already miss them so much...

Here are some pics of our adventure on the Singapore Flyer... the largest "Ferris wheel" in the world...

They even gave us maps and little head sets so we could learn more about Singapore.

Look at all those boats...

The containers holds up to 20 people....and it takes 30 minutes to go all the way around.

And really the best view to see the city... here is the marina where one of the Casino's is being built.

This picture was taken for my husband.. he loved it...

A good looking golf course near by....

Afterwards we headed to China Town... to do some shopping...

A great day... and one that will be in the memory bank forever....

Grandma and Grandpa have arrived...

Grandma and Grandpa have arrived.... and day one is almost over but we are having fun. They both have been doing very well with the jet lag but we played it easy today and did a little eating, playing and grocery shopping for tonight's dinner at home.
Here Pierce wanting to sit by him Grandpa...
On the bus for more fun....look how good they look for just flying in this morning.

Grandma wanted to get "threaded" so Grandpa and Pierce played...

Look at her toes... do you think it hurt????

Grandpa and Pierce left and this is where I found them... playing a video game...

After lunch... we headed home for quiet time.. but Pierce wanted to cuddle for 5 minutes first...

So sweet... we are very happy that they finally made it... we are looking forward to leaving for Vietnam on Sunday.

Bangkok - shopping and eating!

Our first day in Bangkok we hit the street running... I mean shopping... we barely had enough time to drop our bags off at the hotel (and we had to bc we had to make room for our shopping bags) before we headed to the day market (forgot the name)... wow... the craziest thing I have ever been too and I had gone shopping in Beijing at the local markets... wow... you could buy plates to buying ducks (real ducks)... and you talk about alot of people but a great time... we stayed for about 6 hours and we had to leave bc we did not have any more room for bags and our feet were tired...

A bouquet of flowers made out of Thai money (baht).

For dinner the first night we ate at the hotel (not good) but I had to take a picture of the dessert of choice on the menu... Ice Cream (2 balls).

The next day we headed to Silam Village... a nicer boutique area... more expensive but air conditioned... HE HE HE

The last day we headed to the Jim Thompson Museum... beautiful.

This beautiful carved piece of word is a measuring device they used to measure silk... wow.
It was a great trip... good food... good shopping.. with some great friends...

Day 8 on Arab Street!

Today is Wed., Day 8... we started the day dropping Pierce at school for water day and then ViVi, GM and I headed to Arab street to buy some goodies... we took the MRT... this was GM first time on the MRT here, sitting in her prime spot.... reserved seating.

Here are the girls at Arab Street... I told them to act silly and this is what I got... but cute.

And then the shopping began... was not to long before an Indian man had us in his shop going through boxes of shaws...

More shopping... and I tried on that black dress hanging on the right... loved it, loved it, loved it... but a little tooooooo short.

We were trying to pick up the globe ontop of the mosque but we were alittle off...

Just a good taste of what Arab street looks like.

Back waiting for the MRT with all our bags... did we get you something??? I guess you will have to wait and see...
Tonight we are headed to Villa Bali restaurant for some Balinese, Thai, Indian food....
If you are wondering why you are getting a play by play of our days... it is bc we have lots of family back home waiting to see what Grandma and ViVi are up to... thanks for hanging with us.
