Pierce you want to get in the hole?

Mark and Blake decided to dig a hole in the sand and see if the kids wanted to be buried... watch and see.

Brooklyn... not so sure.

Pierce very curious... lets dig some more.

Happy... This is his cheese smile again where he is smiling but does not look at the camera... we are getting so close.

Everyone left and he is still just hanging out.

Elephant Show in Bintan!

We went to see an Elephant Show and this is what we got when we arrived... beautiful men and women greeting us to the show.

To our left was this man sitting holding an enormous snake... see the sign next to him.. pay $2 for a picture... I got this one for free.. but later we got a family picture.

Here we are waiting for the show... we were not the only ones there but we did get there first...

Here Brooklyn was dancing to the music... Pierce was glued to mommy and daddy... not so sure.

They asked for volunteers to come and learn a new dance... well you know I had to go... that is me on the far left.

And here comes the elephants... pretty cool.

These two are in love... we hold hands and they hold trunks.

Mark and Blake thought this was the coolest part... they stood and turned on these post like little ballerina's. Pretty amazing.

And they play basketball.

Here we are sitting on the elephant... he liked us bc we just fed him some bananas.

They have math skills... Mark volunteered for this... He gave the elephant a math problem (5+3) and the elephant brought him the #8... now you figure that one out.

They can walk over people (the were volunteers from the crowd... crazy) with the gentlest stride and ever so cautious calculation of their next step... pretty cool and the trainer told us not to try this in the wild... NO KIDDING.

Then the Carr's went for a ride... we got a ride in Thailand so we decided to sit out and take pictures.

The Carr clan.

Here is our clan with the snake... this snake was so strong... and a bit scary. Pierce was not so sure... but he did at one point dig his fingers into the snake accidentally...

Pierce and I dancing with the elephants... check out those huge animals moving to the beat (I am talking about the elephants... HE HE HE).

A couple of elephants playing the harmonica... amazing.

This is awesome... a huge elephant running and playing football(what Americans call soccer). You can even hear Blake's reaction on the video... He thought this was pretty cool.

Sand and Water in Bintan!

We got to spend alot of time at the beach and pool. Here are just a couple of the priceless shots.

The moms were lying out so the kids decided to join in.

These two were truly inseparable... they had such a good time together.

When it was too hot for the beach we headed to the pool to cool off. The resort had two pools and they both had a shallow end that was clutch for the kids.... but only one of them had the slides... wait and see.

Not sure if you can see Pierce's face but we were going really fast and he thought it was so much fun.. Mom thought it was fun too.
Mark and Brooklyn were going fast too... can you see their faces.
When there wasn't a slide to ride there was daddy.

Eating in Bintan!

We got to eat alot on the beach and this is just one of the pictures I got... while Brooklyn was here she taught Pierce how to make a big smile while saying cheese at the camera but he has yet to learn to look right at the camera while he is doing it... we are getting there... I usually have to snap about 50 shots just to get one good one where he will look at the camera... It takes luck or about 10 people jumping up and down behind me to get his attention. :-)

Brooklyn has it down to a perfection... she is so cute.

Pierce had his first milk shake and he drank the entire thing (adult size) in one sitting.

The last night we got a babysitter to watch the kids (they were sleeping) while we went to a Japanese restaurant that had the Hibachi Grill... it was awesome and I think had the best steak that Blake has had since we moved to Singapore. Please note the large bibs that they put on us... we did not know what to expect but we all left the restaurant with out one drop on our bib.

Here is a picture of a little octopus they served me... I ate the seaweed next to it but I gave my octopus to Mark... I think he had like three of these boogers.

Lagoona Beach Resort in Bintan!

We stayed 3 nights at the Lagoona Beach Resort in Bintan and had the best time. This place was recommended to us and the only place I found that had a villa with 4 bedrooms. In the main lobby we were greeted by dancers and people playing the drums when our bus arrived. Then they would sit down for photo opps (I guess)... above are the dancers.
Here they are dancing for us.

Later in the weekend we got a picture with the dancers but Pierce was not happy... he usually goes to anyone but I do not think that he liked the costumes.

Here is the main lobby... I love wood and I thought this was so cool.

Here is a picture of some of the grounds that lead to the beach.

A picture of the hotel rooms... we stayed in a villa that you saw on an earlier post.

Japanese Garden right outside the Japanese restaurant (which was pricey but amazing).

Priceless picture of Brooklyn... she was posing for me.

The kids running from us on the grounds... they had so much here.

This is the lower balcony that stared out at the pool and beach.... we usually hung out here when we were waiting on the kids to get up from their nap and we were not taking a nap.

With our Villa we got a golf cart to get around in... It was so good to have and hold all of our stuff and major plus for the resort.

I kind of feel like I am writing a rating on the Hotel... but I thought you might enjoy and if you ever go to Bintan, Indonesia I highly recommend this place.
