Time with Tita...

Tita has been gone now for almost 3 weeks... she left to make a trip home to the Philippines to see her friends and family. We are excited about her arrival back to Singapore this weekend and we talk about how much we miss her all the time. Before she left she wanted to spend some quality time with Pierce so they went to the Science Center... you can tell in the pics below just one of the reasons why Pierce loves her so... bc they always have so much fun together.

They also went to get a hair cut at Toys R Us and they rode the MRT... what a great day.

About a month ago ICS (Pierce's school) had a FUNd Run to raise money for some scholarships at the school. This would be our first 5K together so we were not sure how it was going to go. We did find out last minute that dad was not going to be able to join us so off we went just Pierce and I... I had planned on running and Pierce was going to ride his scooter alongside me the whole way or at least as long as we could make it. The run was held at West Coast Park (our old stomping grounds and we were excited to go back). Check it out below and see how we did...

They wanted us to stretch before hand... Pierce is about as limber as daddy...

Pierce did a great job he did the ENTIRE race on his scooter and I only had to pull him a couple of times when he need a break. I was definitely running, jogging or pulling the whole time. Pierce was a cheerleader for the entire 5K yelling... "Good job ICS" leaving everyone we passed with a smile. I am happy to report that Pierce and I both crossed the finish line 39 minutes later... for our first 5K together that is not to bad... I was so proud of him for sure.

Here is a picture of the winner (shirtless) that finished in 14 min and the second place (on far left) that finished shortly after him and the third who they had to cross over the finish line bc he fell... but they all finished under 15 min. I believe... crazy. I remember them passing us when I felt like we had been running like 5 min... The picture is a sweet picture bc after the first place and second place crossed they turned around the pick the guy in the middle up (which is a custodial worker at the school) and carry him across the finish line.. amazing...

After the race we had another fund raiser with class baskets... each class was in charge of making a themed basked, then people would buy tickets to vote, then a ticket was picked from each basked to win that basket and then the basked with the most votes that class got a school party. Here is Pierce with one of his class mates looking at all the baskets.

Here was our class basket... since I am room mom it was my job to put together... a movie night basket... I thought it was good but we did not win.

They even had donuts... and Pierce was first in line.

After the race they sold the left over donuts on an auction for more money and you could take home a dozen donuts... Pierce really wanted a dozen... can you see him here in front betting...

He finally won as the highest bidder... he was so proud to run on stage with his money and claim his prize.

What is better than after a hot days run in the sun... playing the sand with friends...hey did you know that sand sticks really well to sweaty bodies???

Pierce's Pirate Party Con't...

We took a lot of pics of the party and don't want you to miss out on any of the details... so here is another one (this is for you Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles... we missed you). Fun sticker Activity Sets... And lots of pool fun time... with friends.

Do you see the cute little pirate name tags too... so fun.

Brothers... so glad that Uncle Keith and Auntie Elly could join us...

I am sure people in our condo were thinking what happened to our quiet Saturday pool... we definitely took over.

The boys climbed to the top of water wall and had a mean game of tag...

Thanks to our sweet friend Jennifer... she once again made Pierce's birthday cake... they always taste good and look so professional... you are the best Jennifer... thank you thank you.

Our big 4 year old... floating in the pirate boat that was made to be a drink cooler... and even on the box says this is not a flotation device... go figure.

Now for the presents... thanks everyone for coming... it would not have been as special of a day without you.

Happy 4th birthday party Pierce (2 months late)... we love you and love you more each day.. LOVE LOVE

Captain Pierce... Happy Birthday!

For many reasons we decided to have Pierce's birthday party this year in March (again) instead of Jan (which is his actually birth month). It really works out best this way and we had another fun party. This year Pierce has been talking a lot about Pirates (it all started bc his friend came to see him last year that was really into Pirates and had a Pirate b-day party)... so this year... Captain Pierce was the theme. Oh boy did Dad and I have fun planning this party. I never knew planning a pirate party could be so much fun. Also this year we had some family members with us... Uncle Keith and Auntie Elly were here visiting and go to celebrate with us but not before I could load their suitcase up with fun stuff from OT. This is what the invitation read: "Stop yer pillaging: Lend me an ear I have a message for ye to hear! The treasure's been stolen: It must be found! So tighten ye sashes without a sound! Bring ye swim gear: it's going to be wet. Ye be walking the plank on this ye can bet! I'm "Captain Pierce" and I'll lead the way on March 5th, I'll be 4 that day! We be setting sail at 11am for some swashbuckling fun in the hot afternoon sun!" The day was finally here... come and join the fun:

Can our little man really be 4... wow.

If you are wondering if Pierce has on shorts in the next picture... yes he does.. and yes they are speedos... his swimming coach wears these so he wanted some and they are really cute but I promise by the time he turns 5 he will be wearing proper shorts.

Everyone got a sticker set... where they could make their own pirate scene.

Beach Balls for everyone... thanks Uncle Keith.

And what is a Pirate party without a treasure hunt... off we go. Homemade treasure maps and clues with the help of Auntie Elly and Uncle Keith... yes we burned everyone by hand.

Each kid got a treasure box to put their treasure in.

Off they go... second stop tennis court.

Running for more...

They finally made it to the BIG treasure... a pinata filled with goodies.

How old are you?

Just in case you were wondering what I was doing during all of this... well my friend caught me on camera.

There is more... see the next post...
