Easter is so much fun for so many reasons... and the list could go on and on... and there truly is so much meaning behind everything that we do on this special day (weekend) and we really try to point back to Jesus in all the activities... For instance like when you dye eggs (not really sure where this tradition came from but I know that eggs mean life in many cultures) but for us we talk about how dull and plain and white (or brown) the eggs are and then you dye them (like when Jesus died for us) and it gives them (us) life and so much beauty. Pierce still does not have the patience for this activity but we had a good time and we all got a little dirty (colorful)...
Easter Morning was another fun activity... Pierce woke up and had a letter waiting for him telling him Happy Easter and to follow the clues to find his basket. We started the tradition awhile back where he had to find his basket but this year we made it a scavenger hunt... we will definitely have to make it harder next year this was was to easy for him. We put pics of items in the house to go find and that is where he would find the basket or another clue...
Jumping with excitement... He finally found the basket...
Pierce asked us how the Easter Bunny knew what he liked and we told him that the Easter Bunny has to work with mommies and daddies to get the basket just right (:-) He liked our answer)
First year to get money... he says he is going to use to get a military magazine subscription in Korea...
