You can take a girl out of Texas but you can't take Texas out of the girl!

Well it is no secret that most people can sleep better in the dark...this goes for Pierce as well. When we moved into our condo we realized his room gets alot of sunlight in the morning which might be the reason that he was waking up early (before 9am... he he he). I told a friend here that I thought I needed to get some black out curtains to see if he would sleep in a little bit and if it would help him take his naps...

I started doing some research on the curtains and since I had to have them made they were going to be a little pricey... I was telling a friend here that I did not want to spend that much money to find out that it had nothing to do with the sunlight but that it was just a natural progression for Pierce. She then told me "do like we use to do when I was younger.... put foil in the window"... not a bad idea and way cheaper for the experimentation.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

I even got to use masking tape to put it up with... nice job.

I decided after a couple of weeks to take the plunge... I started to get rid of the foil... we definitely did not make an impression from the road.

Here are the new curtains.... much better and they block most of the sunshine in the morning.

Pierce seems to like them too.

We put foil on our windows in college block out the sun. It looked totally white trash from the street but we did not care a bit. It made our rooms so much darker and cooler. That cracks me up.

This is AWESOME! Clay and I were just talking about foil on windows this past weekend. I think you were just doing your Texanly duty halfway across the world.

Love that last picture of Pierce in the window. I personally like the foil better. It adds a space-age flare to your stylish decor. :-)
