Election Night!

For the past 30 minutes I have been reading everyone's blogs, emails and web commentary on the 2008 Election... and I could not agree more with most of the information that I have read... I am scared too. If you have been reading my blog you know by now that I am a conservative christian republican that voted for McCain/Palin. The prayers as I said them did not come true (McCain/Palin to win) but I know that my God is bigger than that and HE will deliver mine and many of yours prayers in regards to this past election.

I can not help but to think back to Exodus in the bible and remember Pharaoh and his army. The story begins with how badly the Hebrew slaves were treated by the Pharaoh and the order that the Pharaoh wanted all the Hebrew male babies killed. It proceeds on with the birth of Moses. We then learn all about the unique life Moses led and we begin to learn what plan God had in store for Moses. Soon, the plan is revealed and the plaques were leashed on Egypt. The story ends with a happy ending for the Hebrews but not for the Pharoah and his people.

There is a "Happy Ending" for us... let us remember God's ultimate plan and lean on Him and not whom holds the title "President of the United States of America".

Many of you have shared the below snippet but I wanted to share it with those who have not see it yet.

These facts are still true:
1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.

ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE

My parents were invited to an election party last night so I wanted to have my own while we were waiting for the results. So I invited Shelly and Avery to come over. I ran to Old Navy and got these cute outfits for Pierce and Avery and then we headed to Freebirds to celebrate our Freedom to Vote.

Shelly hates this picture but I just love it... here Shelly is eating a Monster Freebird for her and the little baby in her tummy and then there is cute little Avery eating rice puffs.
Full bellies and a huge smile... priceless.

High Five!

I love the shirts - so cute! I totally agree with what you said...it's a sad loss, but God is still in control!

22 out of 26 (I think...could be wrong) judge positions up for election in Harris County went to Democrats. I hope the country is ready for such drastic changes...I have a hard time believing Houston is ready.

Amen to all that! I totally agree. Check this out, too, for another good perspective on the election results:

Ahhh, Freebird's! It has been, like, five years since I've enjoyed one of those. Tell Shelly to eat another Monster for me and the baby in my belly, too! :-)
