A great Resurrection Sunday...

Resurrection Sunday was a blast... there are many reason why we love this day but the biggest is bc of the reminder that the Tomb was empty... this year Pierce was told the story over and over again... at home, at school and at church and it really seemed to click for him. He would remind us at the dinner table that Jesus died and rose again and that He is now in Heaven. He would pray at night and thank Jesus for "getting up" and leaving the tomb empty. Another reason is bc we get to have a lot of fun as we celebrate the reason for the season. Thanks to family we got some care packages full of sweets and goodies. And after church we were invited to a friends for an Easter Lunch Celebration including another egg hunt and then we had our own egg hunt at that house with resurrection eggs and some new GRAVITY eggs.

Check it out...
Here are the gravity eggs... some of the stuck to walls, some hung from door knobs, some of them could glow in the dark and more.

How many eggs did you get...
Once he collected all his eggs he could go on the hunt from his Easter Basket (which was hidden in Tita's toilet :-), this is about the only place Pierce does not go to in our small condo).

Check out this Easter Sunday spread... I am so thankful for friends and I truly felt this Easter that we were amongst family. We really enjoyed playing with friends and having good food... felt like home.

The men in the kitchen (and this is not where the food was)... what is up with that...

I asked Pierce how many eggs he was allowed to get and he said 2... but he could really get 10... how many do you think he ended up with ?
So clever they even hid them on this raft in the middle of the pool... Pierce waited patiently until the raft came to him.

Good boy... he got 10... way to follow the rules...

A great day with friends... celebrating our Risen Savior... sorry this entry is so late but you know what I like to say.... better late than never.

Mike and I have not been able to spend Easter together in years. It is his favorite holiday. I can't wait for us to be able to celebrate Resurrection Sunday together next year in Asia! Thanks so much for your blog. It is helping me prepare for moving!
