Pumpkin carving for toddlers....

Thanks to some friends here we were able to find a great pumpkin patch with some great pumpkins to bring home and carve... and thanks to my parents, ViVi and Grandad they made the carving part much easier than normal and very toddler friendly.

We had so much fun carving pumpkins last night... look at this sweet face... do you think he is happy.

He was not big on digging our the guts of the pumpkin... I love to roast the seeds so this had to be done but he took one handful and then was done... he would much rather use a spoon.

He just loves throwing his arms out like a scare crow and says "Big Pumpkin Patch"... he loves this holiday just like his mama.

I was trying to see if he would take a bit of the insides.... he was not digging it.

Then the fun began... my parents sent these cute little faces (kind of like potato head faces) for the pumpkin... so much easier than getting a knife out and so much cuter that I could ever make a jack-o-lantern...

Face 1 above and Face 2 below...

Loved it so much we had to give kisses... what a fun night on the balcony...

Trick or Treat...YUM YUM!

Yuck... "it smell like????"

Open wide.. take a big bite.

Thank you ViVi and Grandad!

So excited to decorate the pumpkin...

Such a great idea! Friends of ours did that too and I never knew it existed. Cute and he looks like he had a blast with mommy!

Too cute! We carved pumpkins last night at a friend's house after the Cowboys game. Yours turned out much cuter. :)
