My first run in with a taxi door....

My first run in with a taxi... I can not believe after 1.5 years after living here in Singapore, a country that uses taxi's and other public transportation as their mass transit system... that I finally had my first run in with a taxi door (to be exact)... when you first move here you learn how careful you have to be when opening your door... motorcycles are allowed to cut in and out in the street and around cars... and there are alot of people.

Well the other night I was walking in Dempsey Hill trying to catch up with my son and daddy... when I was minding my own business and walked right next to a parked taxi... I was not paying attention but the jolt to the side that pushed me sideways and caused some pain opened my eyes to see a man that was leaning out of the taxi with a very puzzled look and mumbled something that sounded like "I am sorry"... I told him that it was ok and started to walk away... and at that moment I knew that was going to leave a bruise on my leg and my elbow... and sure enough it did... did not think that I was going to wake up the next morning to a big knot on my leg and bruise that was purple/yellow/green/blue and a bit of pain as soon as I put my leg on the ground... but I did and we are getting better... still one nasty bruise but still can't believe that it took 1.5 years to have my first run in with a taxi door.... pretty good.

Ew and ouch. Reminds me of the taxis in the movie Elf.

OUCH! I've had a bad one like that...down my whole thigh, but not from a taxi! I gotta be more careful now, I'm such a clutz! Hope it doesn't hurt...guess that means Pierce needs to do not hit it or bump into you :-)

Ouch!!! Maybe you can make it the rest of the time in Singapore without another hit!
