More hiking and fun family times...

On Buddha's birthday both school and work were closed... so we decided to spend another day hiking and Blake did some research in hopes to find a waterfall... and he found a place that was called Paseo Falls (SP?) that was about an hour away... so we packed some lunches and off we went.  The drive was wonderful... we started seeing some pretty big mountains about 20 min. into our drive and we could not believe our eyes... that this was so close to home.  We kept driving and since we had to pass some temples to get there we did get stuck in some traffic so our drive was a little longer than expected but it was still pretty.  Pierce is not use to being in a car seat so long so he was ready to get out and run... we finally made it and it was worth it.  Wish I would have taken some pics of the cabins that they had for rent or platforms where you bring your own tent... we will definitely be coming back and staying the night... looked amazing and the weather was perfect for a nice stroll...

We had lunch on a picnic bench and then off we went... we had no idea how far we had to walk to hopefully find the waterfall... but we were all willing... Pierce was excited to go on another adventure... and daddy was his side kick.

I always took the easy path (this is not the easy path) and the boys went on adventures... so here they are climbing around the rocks.

Mamma had to stop many times to take a breath... :-)

I have so many pics like this... with daddy and Pierce walking on a beautiful path like this holding hands... I should really take the time to put them all together and count our blessings... God has truly blessed us with some amazing adventures and beautiful hikes...

Some of the hike was steep... and every time we went down I knew we had to come back up... oh boy this was going to be interesting.  Do you see Pierce's bug container in his hand... he was on a adventure to find something really cool.

After over an hour of walking... we finally found the falls... the water was low but it was still great to get there and see it.  We are not really sure if you can swim in the water or not... but it was cold so we did not try.

Where we were on solid ground was not close enough for Blake and Pierce... they had to get closer... so off they went...

A great adventure and we did end up finding a cool looking bug... which Pierce wanted to set free after we got finished hiking so we did not take him to far from his home... what a big sweet boy.
We had another great ride home checking out all the mountains.

I can't wait to get there! Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I solve all the world problems during my hikes.
