SURPRISE we are in Texas!

After 26 hours of travel time we made it to Texas on the 2nd of Jan... I know I know what you are thinking... just yesterday she was blogging about Singapore/Vietnam.. yes you are right I was prolonging the Singapore/Vietnam blogs so I could keep our arrival a secret to our friends and family. We got most of our "major" surprise accomplished so it is time to blog to let the rest of our people in on the secret...

We arrived on the 2nd bc Blake had to be on this rig in Barbados on the 5th then to travel to the gulf of Mexico... so Pierce and I decided to join him... We had a couple of days to pack and then we hit the road/air. Pierce did great on the flight and the iTouch came in handy. We landed in Houston and stayed a couple of days and then Blake had to go to work and Pierce and I got in the car and headed to surprise my parents in FTW. And what a great surprise it was. We are currently in FTW now and still waiting to see more family this weekend... but I just could not wait another day to blog about it... we have had a great first week being loved on by friends and family... can't wait to get more...

Pierce fell asleep in the taxi ride to Aunt JuJu's house so we left him in his car seat while we got settled in....

Aunt JuJu and Uncle KW were not home when we arrived so we had the house to ourselves for a couple of days... since no one was there to keep us up our sleeping pattern got a little off.. we are doing better now but wow jet lag is no fun.

We got to see Lisa, Mark and Brooklyn and their new little man Logan David... what a sweet family.

Pierce spent his birthday in Houston with Daddy and Mama... we got to ice skate, bungee jump, eat lots of sweets and ride a train.. and have I mentioned freeze... burr it is cold in Texas.

Pierce is still saying that he is 2 and a half... he is having a hard time making the adjustment to saying three... but here we are trying to show you 3 fingers...

This boy loves his trains...

Aunt JuJu and Uncle KW have a dog named Grace... and Pierce and her are buddies... true buddies... Grace is the first name that comes our of Pierce's mouth when he wakes up and the last name he says when he is giving thanks to God during his night time prayers... you can tell by the picture below how great they are together.

After daddy left for work we got in the car and drove to FTW to surprise ViVi... we had to let Grandad in on the surprise bc they are planning on being in Singapore for a visit before we even get back... but all in all ViVi was shocked... not sure if you can tell here but check out ViVi's mouth... wide open... a great surprise.

Every person we see we get to celebrate Pierce's birthday all over again... he has had cupcakes, donuts, ice cream and more... he is loving celebrating his birthday for weeks...

We even got to get some of my family together to celebrate... we all meet at a great Thai restaurant in Mansfield... yum yum but the best part was seeing everyone...

Another great surprise was yesterday when we got to see Shelly and her kids.. Thanks to Lisa Starr for her help in telling Shelly that she was on her way but it was really me... it was so good to meet Reagan for the first time... I was expecting to see a baby when I walked into the room but I saw a child that was sitting up... where has time gone.

We miss Daddy while he is working but this trip has been worth it... we have really enjoyed seeing family and friends again... we have not been back to America in almost a year... I forget how wonderful this place really is... thanks to everyone for making us feel like family... we have 4 more weeks... I will finish my blogging about Singapore in December but you will see more about our trip in Texas... can't wait to see you...

Missing you girl!!! But oh so glad you are having fun!!! Hope you had an awesome birthday. Can't wait to here all about it! Funny enough, all the good friends I've made overseas were always either traveling on their birthday or were traveling on mine. Hmm. Shall I get you to save my 30th in your calendar??? He he he. Love you. G
