Maui - the rest of day 2!

After we came back from the ride down the Volcano we all took a nap and then headed to a Maui Luau... step one put on a flowerdy shirt or dress, get the sunglasses and find a flower for the hair... we are all set... now let the party begin.

There was assigned seating... and as soon as we found our table we knew we were in trouble... front and center... that is the stage right behind us... I wonder which one of us will be on stage before the night is over...

Before the show and food we got to partake in some fun games... here are the guys trying to do this thing... not sure what it is called but a string with 2 balls on the end and you try to swing them in a circle without hitting... the chic that was showing us made it look so easy... you have got to see the video.

We thought that was a big girlie so we had to try something manly... spear throwing... that should do the trick.

Go and kill me something to eat babe...

We girls just sat on the side looking cute in our leis

On our way back to the table they sounded the "shell" and we all had to go and take a peek at dinner... the pig that has been buried in the ground all day it is now ready for us to eat... if you know me you know I don't eat pig but I was interested to see what this thing would look like once taken out of ground...

Lets just say that can not be the pig that was really served bc 2 seconds later the food lines opened and pork was already there cut and ready... and it is probably a good thing bc when they unveiled the pig (the cloth was removed) a HUGE family of flies were set free...

This was my plate... no pork but I did have to be a bit adventurous... still not sure what some of this was...

Food in belly and now let the show begin...

Just another pic of the gang.. we always have so much fun with the Carrs...

Right before sunset a man (see pic below) blows a shell and jumps off the black rock...

Here goes the sun... and I took this picture of Lisa and Mark (their in the middle) while they were crossing right in front of the pic... I so wish the other people were not in the pic... but pretty cool huh?

So did you guess right... Blake was the one that made it on stage... the next video is a must if you want to see just how much Blake can shake his hips... go babe.

You know when it gets dark in Maui... the fire comes out... always... this guy was amazing but he had the scars all over his body to prove just how much he practiced...

Now I can check off #56 of my bucket list... Hawaiian Luau completed.

Looks like a fun evening. I'm proud of Blake for putting on such a show!
