Day 3 Part 1 - The Road to Hana - the drive!

Day 3 - The Road to Hana... we rented a jeep just for this day... we woke up early prayed for no rain and put the top down... Next we stopped at a Starbucks got some drinks and then we headed to this little gas station that Lisa read about in her travel book who had the best CD audio tour guide for the Road to Hana... we got one plugged it in and started the journey....

Seems we are on the correct road.....

First stop trying to check out the surfers... the waves were low but unfortunately these were the only surfers we got to see the whole day...

The girls in the back... we tried really hard not to be back seat drivers... I think we did ok... don't ask the guys!

On the road again...

Then we stopped at a rain forest that was pretty boring but had some really big trees...

And the paths were like something from Harry Potter... we were not sure if the roots in the ground were going to come to life.

The scenery on the way (this was taken while driving) was breath taking.

Just one of the many many waterfalls on the journey.

At one point we had to stop for some good old fashioned home made banana bread... and it was SO SO yummy.
