Day 3 Part 3 - The Road to Hana... Finishing the ride!

Right after the swim in the waterfall we had to stop for a snack... we picked up some coconut treats... what a lovely place right???

Back on the road...

We reached the black beach...

Not really black sand like I thought... but a bunch of black rocks...
The gang...

Back on the road... trying to the find the red beach....we found it.... after we got out of the car asked some locals... climbed behind some people house and then use a rope to get off a cliff... here we are...
We did not get a lot of great pics here bc when we got down to the red sand... which was still little rocks there was a group of people "high on life" and they made us a bit worried... bc we were not close to anyone and they stood between the water and our exit point... so we got some sand for a keep sake and left... and on the way out watched some lady frolic in the water... a great sight to see for sure...
This next spot was called the 7 falls... and this is where we had to park the car to get too... check out this amazing rainbow...
Here they are... I do have to say we were expecting something a little different but here are 7 small water falls.

The sun was starting to set so it was getting a bit chilly....

As we were leaving one of the areas we saw this grave sight on the beach...

The last bit of our journey was the most exciting... we went from green lush wide roads (or at least big enough for 2 cars) to desert rocky a very narrow (hanging off a cliff) roads. We passed a couple of signs that said Road to Hana turn around and do not enter and even our CD tour guide said turn around... we kept on going... it was a bit scary at first but crazy to think this picture is on the other side of all the water and falls....

Hey Lisa... "how was the Road to Hana"... Lisa said "One big thumbs up"

What an amazing trip and thanks to the Carr's we had some good travel guides...
