Science Center... a new favorite!

...

The Singapore Science Center is amazing... Blake and Pierce had been before but I did not know it was this cool... Last week Pierce and his neighbor friend (and moms) went to the Science Center... I had heard about the HUGE dinosaur out front but I had no idea what was inside... we had a blast... this post has alot of pictures (I know you are so shocked) but I had to share it all... what a great place for kids of all ages (even adults).
Here is Pierce telling me all the things he is going to see "first we are going to see the dinosaur and then we are going to the water park (we never made it to the water park we were having so much fun inside).

As you enter there are some cool illusions... can you see all 6 people in the picture below?
What happened to their legs?

At times we had to explain the difference between games and science.. Pierce thought alot of the things were just to play (and hopefully win something) not necessarily to learn... but he still had fun.

Him and Alex were best buds and were so excited to show the other what they had found...

They even had hissing cockroaches... yuck.

And chicks that had just cracked...

How do pumps work? and how does a chicken feel in a chicken coop... something for all ages...

This was really neat when Pierce realized it was his shadow... he was busy dancing and trying to explain to Alex that you had to dance for it to work right...

Every kid has played with these once...

And the boys were trying to figure out how to get shocked... why?

More fun... and more gadgets.
This was hilarious... when you stood on the feet on the floor this guy came along and "pooed" in the potty trying to explain germs and where they are... the boys thought it was HILARIOUS when the brown poo showed up in the potty... go figure... must be a boy thing... see Pierce jumping up and down.

Throughout the place they had some really cool affects...

Teaching a 3 year old about DNA... could be alot worse.
The following pictures are of Pierce favorite exhibit at the science center... and it helped that Alex really enjoyed it too... one person would sit on one side and the other would sit at the opposite side and it would put their two heads/faces together to merge as one... it was really cool. At first you could tell the boys were not sure but once they understood that their face was super imposed on the other... they had a blast...

And we learned about Global Warming where they had an ice wall and Pierce said "just like Japan" when he touched it... HE HE HE.

And there is nothing like a Shadow Puppet show on weather and climate.

Lesley and Alex... so cute...look how everyone is looking at the camera.
Pierce and I... what are you looking at Pierce?

Then we had to go to the electricity show... man we had no idea what we were in for... a loud crazy act about electricity... check this out...

Pierce did not know whether to pray or to cover his ears... :-)

Right before we left (bc the boys said it was too loud) they asked for a volunteer to sit in the metal bird cage while a huge bolt of electricity strike the cage (see the bolt below)... before the guy could get in the cage he had to sign a waiver (no joke)... only in Asia can you get away with this... love it.

Straight from electricity to the snow... to learn about why people wear snow shoes? Pierce gets to see how well he would do as a polar bear... a polar bear in white balls with only 2 feet.... ready to go... off he goes... oh no he is falling... up again.

We finally made it outside to the wonderful tree house... where the boys had a blast and us moms tried to stay next to the fan...

Now its time to show off our muscles...
and a hug...

Hot... tired... sweaty... time to go home... thanks Alex and Lesley for a great morning at the Science Center.

How fun - I like the fruit bowl with their heads in it.

That place is amazing! I keep cracking up about the poo in the toilet bowl. DEFINITELY would have been Shelby's favorite!
