Tokyo, Japan - Day 1

Our first day in Tokyo... what a day... what a busy day... I took a hiatus from blogging about Japan (we got back over 2 weeks ago) once bc I did not have all the pics and two I was a bit overwhelmed in trying to capture the wonderful trip on paper (or Internet)... but I can't stand it so here we go... Please check out my friends blogs that went on the same trip... they do a better job in capturing the trip in one blog... The Unruh Family.... The Custer Family.

When you visit Toyko... you have to walk around... it was a holiday on the first day we were there so it was quiet... but we got to take it all in without getting run over by people or cars... a lovely place for sure... and oh boy if you like to shop this is place to go... and bring your wallet and life savings.

It was not really raining but I am sure what they call melting snow from the sky... it was a little drizzle but all locals need an umbrella bc it just goes with the fashion... and they know fashion let me tell you.

On one of our walks we had to stop by the multi-level toy store... the kids were in heaven... and then Daddy and Pierce were in Heaven when they found this race track on the top floor.... check out those smiles.

Kaelan was such a trooper... he spent most of the trip in this backpack and loved every minute of it... even took some naps here and there.

Our gang... taking a breather, trying to warm and gather our thoughts on where we were going next.

We never could tell what this place was but they had a cool clock... made of jewels and lots of people inside... so maybe one day when we figure it out we can say we got a picture in front of it...

We had to check out the Abercrombie and Fitch store that was about 10+ stories high and smelled heavenly and had some eye candy waiting at the door asking for us to come in... so of course we did...check out this staircase...I got in trouble for taking this picture by the way...

At the bottom floor they let you take pics with the models... there was a line for this guy...

We rode many trains while here in Japan... and they were always clean and well done... here is a picture of a mural that was done in one of the stations loved it... wish I had a painting of this...

We had also heard that the SONY store was a "must see" place... and once we entered they had the famous Cherry Blossom tree on showcase... out of season for this tree but it was nice to see.

Pierce had to play the 3-d game...

On our way out we meet this sweet couple with this cute little boy... he wanted to play with Pierce's toy and when he went to get it he grabbed the toy from Pierce with two hands and bowed at the same time... it was precious... he was so sweet and cute...

Look at that face.... I just love how trendy these people are... even the children... he has on like 3 shirts... so cool...

For lunch we had to check out the traditional noodle soup... we found a little hole in the wall that was awesome...Pierce was a sleep back at the hotel but Violet came along for the yum-yum.

Our chef...

That night the Dentons (that would be us) were a bit jet lagged (traveling from the states to Singapore to Japan in 3 days) so we stayed behind and the rest of the gang went out for dinner... hate that we missed this one... yummy.

A great first day... stay tuned for more... and sorry for the delay.

So glad the trip details are finally pouring out! I never thought about Japan being so fashionable...the little boy was adorable in his layers.
