Another day in Tokyo... the first day was hard for our family due to all the travel, Dad being back with the family and letting Pierce get over all the changes in his life in the last couple of days... so the second day was better.
Totally forgot the name of this famous temple (sorry) but my mom and dad saw the same thing on a trip they took a couple of years back... we went at night so it was closed but it was great to see in the snow...
There is tons of shopping on the walk to the temple.. we stopped to get some treats and umbrellas on the way.
By the time we left... the shops were all closed... this is the same street as above just later... what a difference.
We found a little noodle shop to eat at... poor Blake he went hungry on this trip...
Finally in the hotel, kids are bathed and we are winding down... ready to go night night...
Well the kids went to bed... but the adults went out to play...this was a fun picture but we can't figure out if I was slower or faster that the other two girls... look at the herky on Gillian... you go girls.
Jamey had this fancy traveling book on Japan... that showed us all the "hot" places to see in all the places we went to... and this dark ally way was one of them... to find a cool pub... a little sketchy but we had the best time...
We stopped at this bar (the one that was recommended was closed) and it only fit 10 people... we all set against the wall and if someone at the end or middle had to get up and leave we all had to get up to let them pass... it was a like a pew with a wall at the other end... the owner was a Japanese Elvis... so fun.
The next morning we headed to the train station to catch the famous Shinkanzen... The "BULLET TRAIN"...
We had so many bags we did not know what to do with them... so we stacked them against the door and found our seat... soon the "guy in charge" came and tracked us down and had us move our bags... this was the guys sorting things out...

The staircase was so steep... this was us coming out of the bar... just happy that we made it down the stairs.

With babies strapped to our backs... all hands carrying baggage and making sure we didn't leave anyone or anything behind we jumped on the train and headed to Hakuba... to hit the slopes...

Whoa! I'm amazed with how often you do serious travel with children. I'm such a wuss to even try it. Loved the herkey photo! LOL! Go Team! And the Japanese Elvis had me cracking up. Oh, and does Blake own anything without A&M on it? LOL Stacy loves it and I crack up.
