A must before we left...

A just before we left Singapore... setting our pets free... yes we have two turtles that we have grown quite fond to.  Tita brought these things home from the market one day and there were actually more than 2 but only "David and Goliath" survived all the months.  We have grown to really care about these things... they even had play dates on Saturday where they were set free on the balcony and could have a good time out of their bowl.  We asked friends if anyone wanted them but we had zero takers... so we set them free... into a big body of water... I was not even sure if they could swim but we did not know what else to do.

So here we are taking them to their new home...  Gillian was the photographer and she did a great job catching the moment (which was kindof sad for me).

We found the perfect spot... somewhere wet but a place they could climb out if needed...

The handoff... Pierce wanted to be the one to set them free...

First was Goliath and he dove straight down and I could see him sitting on the bottom... swimming a little but I am sure he was a bit in shock.  Now David was a different story (lives up to his name)... we dumped him into the big body of water and he was a swimming fool and just skimmed the surface and checked everything out.

Once the turtles were good we feed them some more... and then we went for a walk to feed the other turtles (with the left over food we had)... a great last fun in Singapore.

Check out these two... so cute...

Now that is one big turtle...

Gillian and I were commenting afterwards that if these two get married (which we would love) we will have some great photos of them...

Not a great pic of me... but what do you do... I wanted to share this photo bc you can see Pierce's nervous twitch that he has picked up recently... he does it all the time... no not touching the belly (I love that)... the chewing on the shirt... He picked this up when Daddy started traveling and has not stopped since... hoping that this will go away soon.

After the park and goodbyes... back at the Unruhs for some drawing and fun.
