Arghh Matey...

Welcome to Pirates day at HFS... a long time tradition of when the compound pool is closed.  They celebrate this day by asking all the kids to dress up in a pirate fashion, have fun activities, ride a raft across the pool and eat... what more could a kid ask for... here is all the fun.

Aunt JuJu looks like a natural... thanks to her I got to enjoy this day as well chasing Pierce around while he was a pirate with all his friends.

Pierce's class going on a treasure hunt... thanks to all the teachers who stayed after school to help out with the festivities... they are saints.

Year 2 class... they were all very scary...

We found the treasure.

Pierce, Harry and Bodhi... his mates...

Then to the pool they go... where they wait their turn to cross the pool on the raft...

Here's the raft and the teachers fall/pushed/jump into the pool (it was a little chilly)...

Pierce's turn to take a ride on the raft... there is lots of splashing and rocking... so much fun.

It was a lot of fun and a great tradition... just sad to say goodbye to the pool which is totally foreign to us... we have had non-stop access to a pool for 4 years... this should be interesting.
