Easter Sundy... a day full of fun!

...
We woke up early on Sunday excited about what the day had in store.... we still had our frig box so we made it into a workshop for Pierce... Daddy and Pierce jumped inside and got to work....
See their tools on the wall... hanging so nicely... oh my boys...

We soon had to get dressed and ready for church... all dressed in Sunday best and off we go...

After church we had to come back and play some more in the work shop...

After realizing that we did not have any food (forgot about how much food we would loose from the exchange of the refrigerators) and we did not have a table to eat at... we ordered pizza... there is nothing like a good pizza dinner on the floor while using a borrowed ice chest for the table...what great memories.

Then it was off for nap time... during nap the couch fairy came and the Easter bunny came...

Pierce enjoying all his treats in his basket from the bunny....

Here he is showing you what he got...

and now eating some of it...

Afterwards we headed off to have the resurrection egg hunt...

So excited....

Daddy and Pierce played a bit while mama hid the eggs... can you see them...

Pierce really enjoyed hunting this year... these eggs are filled with symbols of what Easter is all about... not candy and he still had a great time doing it...

Here we are opening them and putting them in order... in a nut shell.... man, sin, Jesus, death, burial, empty...

My favorite is the empty blue egg... which is symbolic for the empty tomb... Praise Him....

We made these resurrection eggs at MOPS 2 years ago and they are so easy to do... on the back of the egg crate are scriptures for each item... a pretty neat way to share the story with kids...

We had so much fun the first time... Pierce wanted to hide them for us to find...

We did this over and over again even in the house... until we could not find one of the eggs... and it took about an hour to find it... but we did... all eggs are accounted for and back in storage for next year... what a great Sunday....and wonderful day remembering what Christ did for us...

I didn't realize you had to clear out your stuff so early. When are you actually leaving?

What a great idea; I'll have to make some of those for Kate next year! So glad to hear y'all had such a wonderful Easter (despite the frige/furniture situation) and celebrated/focused (on) what the day is truly about!
