So much to be thankful for this year... our bucket is full... our cup runneth over... blessed... we are THANKFUL. This is our first thanksgiving as a family of four and we have never felt more complete.
I do have to say that the holiday season has really snuck up on me and I am feeling a little behind... scary to think that Thanksgiving is over and we are now approaching Christmas... so much to do and so little time... and in my spare time I would much rather be sitting with my boys, getting spit up on, playing Zingo and laughing at the next thing that comes out of someones mouth... so the Christmas shopping is way behind, the decorating is put on hold and for now we are just enjoying each other.
I did get a chance to go shopping with a friend this week (we had an hour to spare) and I happen to find a Carters here in Korea... and they had this cute little "Mommy's Little Turkey"... I had to have it for Asher's first thanksgiving... our sweet little turkey...
Pierce and I were talking about how we missed doing the pics this year at the pumpkin patch... so we put our heads together and came up with our own pumpkin patch... We wanted for both boys to be in the pics and Asher was taking a nap so Pierce was trying out the chair....
And then he wanted to try out his different faces... he said he was acting like Asher...
Asher is awake... time to take some shots...
Pierce grabbed the camera and took a shot of Asher with mommy...
Thanksgiving dinner is a bit different for us than the traditional American home.... and it all started on Blake and I's first thanksgiving together when we traveling in Australia. We wanted to find something good to eat for our thanksgiving dinner and all we could find was nachos... so since then when we can on Thanksgiving we have nachos as a family... yummy... and this year to add to all the fun and traditions we added a new one... Get a table cloth.. write on it every year the things that you are thankful for with the year... and in twenty years you will have a masterpieces of things to be thankful for and whole night of conversation about memories...
Pumpkin Bread for dessert and some writing... Pierce did not want to do just one...
Pierce is thankful for 1) mume (mommy), 2) Fameles (family), 3) Armes (Army), 4) Bible... he wrote this out all by himself... and Asher is thankful that he was born...
We are thankful for all our friends and family... and God who has blessed us abundantly.
