Pierce's birthday night in Texas... we had dinner with some friends that we had not seen in like a year (I think). They had recently moved to a new city and we were excited to hug their neck, see how big the twins had gotten and to see their home. OH what fun... Pierce was so excited to have some play buddies and they were all instant friends.
They even had a surprise for Pierce after dinner... a birthday cookie cake... Here is Mr. Wade coming out with the surprise...
And this is Pierce's response... embarrassed/shy but so happy.
Lindsay is a good friend from Houston and we have prayed, laughed, cried and had many dinners together... I sure do miss her jolly spirit and wish we were closer in distance so we could be together and our kids could grow up together.
It was a good night but we had to hurry home to get some rest.... bc the next day we had our 5 year old check up and since we missed our 4 year old check up in the states we knew there were going to lots of shots... and sure enough there were... look at all those bandaids and one un-happy boy

good news and bad news about birthday when you are young. Poor Pierce.
OMG! Happy Birthday to PD Bird with shots???? That's just wrong, Mama. LOL....Shelby's got several more to go before kindergarten in the fall. The good news is we don't remember ours so they'll soon forget theirs. He looks like such a happy big boy!
