Another last...

Our time is slipping by here in Singapore... and we are continuing to do a bunch of last... last weekend we went to our old stopping grounds on the west coast with our neighbors... Margarita's.  Blake, Pierce and I use to walk to the restaurant almost every Friday when we lived at our first place.  We had to go back for one more great Mexican food dinner with friends...

We wanted to get a pic of the kids... and Heather was taking the picture and she was counting 1.2.3 with the hopes of getting a good smile... but on 2 Pierce slipped his arm around Audrey... we cracked up and Audrey screamed "EUWWWWW".  We are going to miss this place and miss our neighbors for sure... and miss Mexican food.

Frirends Forever...

Just came across the pictures and can not believe I did not blog about this yet... You have seen a lot of pics of the three of us... we almost did everything together... including a great vacay to Japan, lots of lunches at CPK, I have gotten to watch both of these girls grow with a little one and then welcome the baby home, lots of parties, some tears and tons of laughter. A couple of months ago we had to say goodbye to Jessica as she was headed to Holland with her family. We had our "goodbye tea" at TWG (where I had my mine but then I came back so we were hoping Jess would come back too). I miss you friend... I miss so much about you but the biggest thing is your constant smile. Singapore has not been the same since you left. Maybe I am just now getting around to blogging this bc I was in denial but one thing I have learned about living here is friends come and go but the friendship is forever. Love you Jess!

Last hours in Singapore...

Last few hours in Singapore have been fun but a little stressful with all the packing... but 4 hours before we leave we are finished packing... now we just have to get the boxes to the right places...

We came here with 5 suitcases and 1 box... we are leaving here with 5 suitcases and 16 boxes... wow.. one can accumulate alot of things in 2.5 years. Wow.

Here are some pics of last night while cleaning up the place (Pierce was such the helper) and a little preview of what the place looks like now... alot of boxes and stuff.

Last night we had watermelon on the balcony... last night on the 10th floor...

Now how am I going to get this painting home...???

Goodbye Singapore... and here we come America.

Things about Singapore

...
3 days left here in Singapore and it is really starting to hit us... we are actually saying goodbye to this place... I am sure for the next year of my life I will talk about all the things that I will miss about this place but here are just a couple that have come to mind this week...
Things I will miss:
1) The way the sunset hits all the concrete and makes a beautiful gold color

2) Having Cena around to talk to, to watch Pierce, to wash dishes and clean the house... and do the laundry.

3) When it is raining outside you can open all the windows and doors and get a great breeze since we are on the 10th floor.

4) Taking Pierce to school and watching him play with all his friends here in Singapore.

5) Going to the mailbox and getting a letter from a friend in the states... yes we have saved almost every letter we have received...

6) That when you go to a doctor, you walk out with your prescriptions... no second stop required.
7) Just being able to go downstairs and splash in the water with friends.
8) Making lasting friendships with people from around the world.. with a common denominator... we love God and we have babies.

9) That you can walk downstairs and get the scraps from the gardeners and make your home feel really homey.
10) Watching Pierce hang out with his girlfriend... and finding new bugs to show her.

Now when you naturally think about the things you are going to miss... some of the things that you are not going to miss pop up...
Things I will NOT miss:

1) Washing dishes by hand 2 -3 times a day (yes I have Cena but not every day)
2) Living as an expat you say goodbye a whole lot... I will not miss saying goodbye.

3) Well I guess there are alot of more things that I am going to miss than not miss...

72 hours to go... so sad....
