MORE PICS BY PIERCE...

More pictures by our little photographer... here is another sneak peak of a 4.5 year olds life in Singapore...

He loves the Singapore Flag... and since National Day is this week they are everywhere and he always wants to take a picture and gets really excited when the wind picks them up to let you see the whole flag... he was really proud of this one.

Sunday Lunch with Audrey... but Audrey did not want her picture taken...

Mommy did not mind posing to make her boy happy.

Another flag...

Now he wanted a picture of himself bc he was showing Audrey that it was ok to get your picture taken..

Our feet...

And hands...

And I absolutely love this picture... he took this at our pool... really cool shot Pierce...

His pool mates...

One day he spotted a lizard on Orchard Road.

Here is the back shot of our visitors a couple of weeks ago... still waiting on pics so you will see a lot more of them soon.

A random hole...

Some prada, jcrew, gucci window but he was not interested in the clothing but the accessories... a plane and boat...

I just love looking through his eyes... we hope you enjoyed...

The Battle Box...

A great morning at the Battle Box in Singapore which is a hidden treasure from WW2.  The British Army created this underground haven sweat box during WW2 and when they surrendered to Japan, the Japanese took over.  After the war ended the Japanese moved out and no one ever returned to the Battle Box.  It was founded again in the 1980's and they revamped it to make it a museum full of wax figures that move and tons of displays of what happened down there.

We got there early before they opened so we decided to have our lunch first in Fort Canning Park.

Pierce had a marshmallow Turkey Sandwich... one happy kid.

On our way to Battle Box we found some underground tunnels... we had to go check them out... they were pretty cool but the mossies thinks so too.

I just love this next picture... it really captured Pierce curiosity of it all... he was so into all of this and so happy to be there... unfortunately I did not bring my big camera... I only have my phone.

When I was editing the pics. Pierce said he wanted to them to look like the ones in the battle box... I asked him what that meant and he said OLD.... so here you go.

In addition to the cool museum there were a lot of young military schools doing drills everywhere... we got to take lots of pics of them and check them out for a while.

I never thought he would be so into this... but man you put those headphones on him and he listened like a hawk... he would look at me every now to make sure I was paying attention.  The tour was an hour and half and he could have stayed all day.  He is really into wars especially WW2.

Here are some pics of the generals wax figure...

Pierce really liked this room... where they were plotting the air attacks.

A super day for sure... if you are in Singapore and you have a 4 year old boy that thinks every man or woman in uniform is a hero (which I believe as well) then you have got to check this out.

Friends come and Friends Go... we will miss you Peltier's.

Friends come and Friends Go... but spending this special time with someone will always stay. I first meet Viki Peltier when I was interviewing schools back in Houston last July (when we moved back) she was the admin boss and she was prego with twins and moving to Singapore. We were instant friends and the emails started rolling. I got to know her more over email and then we found out that we were moving back to Singapore so we were soon to spend a whole lot more time together. I got to be there when they were un-packing their boxes, and when the twins were born, see the twins turn one and now see them pack up their house again to return back to Houston... so sad but we know we will see them again.

Here is our last outing together (double dates) we went to the top of Marina Bay Sands... we will miss you Peltier's.

Viki always complains how hot it is here and she sweats a lot... so I told her about this Ice Bar in Boat Quay and we had to go check it out... she did not believe me that she would need a coat... but she did.
Brrr... it is cold.

A wonderful night with friends.... a memory forever.

Family night at The Big Apple Adventure!

VBS Family night is always a highlight... it is the night that brings tears to your eyes and makes all the work and long days worth it. While I was training the teachers I would tell them just when you think you can do another day or take another "rotten" kid just remember Friday night... the night when you sit there and watch the kid that has been causing some stress in your class or the one you thought was only there bc his/her parents were making them... you see them on stage praising God with a huge smile... Friday night always is my favorite.
The kids were all having a great time and the parents were all lined up to that photos and video... I was a bit busy this night so my friend was in charge of taking the photos... she did a great job and got to catch Pierce in action... being one of those rotten kids I was talking about earlier... I only had to take him off the stage once... you will see...

Pay close attention to Pierce in the next couple of photos... at first he was ok... it went down hill quickly. He is in the third row from the top looking down.

Now looking back... what are you looking at son, you are suppose to be singing and dancing.
Ok... there he goes... good boy!

Not sure when this happened (during rehearsal or the show) but you can tell he is the only one sitting down... I am sure he was suppose to be standing... :-)

Can you find him???

Now the "rotten" is coming out... he has made his way to the end of the row and just chilling (almost laying down) with his friend next to him... while everyone else is paying attention to the front...

Back on track... he is back in the game...
Uh OH... he found something shiny... a microphone.. he is no longer dancing and singing... he is playing with the microphone.
Thanks to my friend who took the pictures... she caught Pierce getting in trouble by one of the older kids... telling him to pay attention and not play with the microphone.
Didn't last long... he is back playing with the microphone.

Pierce got a good talking to at the end of that one (and you can believe all the people that walked up to us letting us know they loved the "entertainment"... but at the end of the day we were proud of our little man... Daddy enjoyed the "entertainment" as well.
Looking forward to the next VBS... can't wait... but happy for the rest now...
