ICS Field Trip to Orchid Garden!

Well we got to experience our first field trip as mom and son... and oh boy did we have fun... some sweat but a lot of fun. We got to take a big bus with the rest of the kids to Singapore Orchid Gardens... and Pierce yelled from the bus while waiting on me to get on board "Mom will you sit with me"... I have never felt more proud... "of course I will sit with you"... I will hold on to these moments for as long as I can bc I am sure when he is 12 he will ask me to sit in the back of the bus :-).

We had a blast with his friends and his teacher... Pierce has been to the Orchid Gardens before and was leading the way (this is Great Mama's favorite place in Singapore he would say).

Orchid Gardens... again but still so awesome...

This is the 3rd time I have been to the orchid garden inside the botanical gardens in Singapore... and I it never ceases to amaze me... I love it... love it... love it... wish my backyard in Texas looked just like it... maybe the streets in heaven will be lined with Orchids just for me... HE HE HE

Ok there is a story behind this photo... a couple of friends of mine in Singapore gave me a white orchid plant for my birthday last year... orchids only bloom once a year... with help from my helper Cena we have taken good care of this orchid over the year anticipating the bloom in Jan... we at the end of Dec. it bloomed and it is beautiful but only has 2 flowers... when we went to the Orchid garden I was going to look for my orchid plant and see how many blooms it was suppose to have... well I should have never compared my green thumb to that of a specialist for the amazing Orchid Garden in Singapore... 11 flowers... you have got to be kidding me... I have so far to go.

This picture was so hard to get... focusing on that tiny flowers... but I got it and thought it was great of this rare orchid... not sure what it is called but it is pretty.

Never get tired of this place... a must see in Singapore.

Our Last Days Together...

Friday we headed to the Botanical Gardens to see the "Orchid Gardens"... this was one of JUJU's favorite places... it is beautiful.

Afterwards we headed out for some lunch at the Botanical Gardens... and we found some dogs so we had to stop and pet them...These were therapy dogs so they were very kind and Pierce got to feed them.

Then we found a pond of fish and turtles after lunch (btw lunch was great).

What a great Friday with JUJU.

Saturday morning we headed to the pool.... Julie has only been to the pool twice since she has been here so we thought we should get in one more... my skin is getting a little white... mama needed it too.

Pierce found my goggles and had to wear them.

He founds some boys to play with...

We are so sad to see JUJU go home tonight... we don't even want to talk about it... so for now I will say... see you tomorrow.
