Flashback... Christmas with GM and GP!

Another Flashback... just to good to pass up sorry... so go all the way back to Christmas (again) with me... and see our fun time with Grandma and Grandpa and family.  Christmas is always a special time of year for us and it makes it extra special if we get to spend it with family... which is rare since we have moved away.  We did get to see both sides of the family and got to spend lots of time getting loved on (some we have already blogged about).  Here is our time getting lots of lovin...

This was our first time to get to spend some time with Anna... and it was so fun getting our hands on her... Pierce was one proud cousin.

The next morning... presents...

Time for pictures next to the tree...

So much fun and sad to think we will not be able to do this again this year (we will be in Korea for Christmas) but it makes us appreciate even more the time we get to spend with family whatever time of year.

Our last day with Uncle Chris...

Wow... our last day... it was really last Sunday (a week ago today) but it already feels like last month... I guess life with a 2.5 year old just goes by to fast... we do miss Uncle Chris alot and we had a great time when he was here.

Last Sunday was our last day together... we had a slow morning with packing and getting ready for Chris to board a plane that night... we headed out a little before lunch to have a great hamburger in Singapore and then we headed to do some last minute shopping/picking some stuff up and then we headed to Quayside (Clark Quay and Boat Quay) to see the marina.

Welcome to Clark Quay Chris!

We then thought it would be a good idea to hop on board one of the Hippo Tour boats to see the rest of the marina... we got some good shots and this was my first tour with them so it was nice to see somethings for the first time.

A famous statue of some local kids jumping into the water.... this used to be allowed but not anymore. They made this statue to remember the good ol days.

The first casino... a view from the marina.... wow...

The Singapore mascot... the Merlion.

Clark Quay.

The building on the right is the tallest building in Singapore... 82 floors (I think I remember) they are not allowed to build any taller than this in Singapore bc of how close everything is to the airport.

After our tour... we were both hot and sweaty (and I forgot to tell you we are trucking around both of Chris' luggage's')... so we decided to pop into Brewerks for a cold drink... Chris got the sampler...

Then with luggage's in tow we headed for our tour through Boat Quay for some famous Chili Crab. When you eat this you have to dress in a very large bib... from your neck to your knees...

oh so good... yum yum.

After dinner we headed to the ice bar across the street... the only place in Singapore where you want to wear a coat... it was -4 degrees Celsius. BUUURRRRR

Oh so cold... my feet were freezing after we finished our drink... but this is where goodbye happened... I just hate goodbyes...

I put Chris in a Mercedes cab (he left in style) and we said goodbye... there he goes... come back soon.

Thanks so much for coming to see us... I wish you could have spent more time with Blake but selfishly I enjoyed having you all to myself.. we had a blast and can't wait to see you again... maybe in Australia... HE HE HE

Day 8 - Saying goodbye to Thailand!

Our last day in Thailand... what a great one but very sad to say goodbye to such a gorgeous place but I was so happy to say goodbye to the mossies (mosquito's)... they liked Pierce and I too much.

This was our view from our breakfast table that morning... not to bed.

After a quick breakfast... Chris and I went shopping... here he is haggling with some locals on the beach.. and I do have to say he became a very good haggler while we were there...

For lunch we had some fruity drinks... Chris tried the famous Singapore Sling for the first time (while in Thailand... go figure).

For lunch I had to have some of this corn on the cob that a local was selling on the beach... I had been eyeing it for days... and boy was it good... I could have 2 more just like it... so yummy...

We soon had to pack up and head out... We had to leave at 2:30 so Pierce did not get a nap this day but all in all he was a great boy...
Here he is saying goodbye to his babysitter... she really liked Pierce and I got him to like her by saying it was Cena's friend (Cena is our helper here in Singapore). Her name was Sunny but Pierce called her "Cena's friend"... they had a good time together.

When we arrived in Thailand it was really late and dark and I did not get a good view of the beautiful airport... so when we got there to depart I was in awe of it... the prettiest airport that I have ever seen and some compare it to the Hawaii airport... it is all open to the outdoors and there are trees and beautiful flowers everywhere.

While we were doing immigration I looked over to find Pierce lying on the floor playing with Chris' iPhone and soon he was just lying there... so tired but being a good boy.

We had to board a tram first to take us to the airplane and here were some of the views along the way.

Me and my buddy... love this little man and he loves trains so we were both very happy...

Our jet to take us home... Bye Bye Thailand.

I was very sad to say goodbye to Thailand bc I am not sure I will ever get the chance to go back.. I feel like we are running out of time here and so many places to see... living in the US it will be so hard to fly half away around the world to see some the prettiest places (but oh so far)... so for now and hopefully not forever... Goodbye beautiful land of Thailand and it's lovely people.

Day 7...stuck in Thailand!

Day 3 in Thailand was suppose to be our last day... but around 4:30pm while we were waiting for our shuttle to the airport to pick us up I glanced down at the itinerary and realized that I had read it wrong... I had thought the arrival time in Singapore was our departure time in Thailand... now I know what you are saying... this girl travels all the time and has traveled for years by herself...yes but I guess I subconsciously did it on purpose so we could stay another day... HE HE HE

We started out the morning eating breakfast, playing outside with the fish and cats and then we went shopping... for more stuff...

One of the workers at the hotel showed Pierce how he could 'steal' bread from the breakfast bar and feed the fish with it... so we had to do this every morning... and soon the cats caught on and joined in...

We make games out of everything... this one was can you stay off the rocks...

Time to pose... so cute... I just love it when he looks at the camera and smiles...

Pierce took this next picture and I am glad that he did... bc don't you just love this grass... you never have to mow it.

That night (after we got our bags back in the room and unpacked... we headed to the main drag to have a seafood Thai dinner... a really cool restaurant that was decorated really nice... and we got to sit by this huge boat that had people inside playing music.

HUMMMMM... what to have for dinner?

Not such a shabby day... once you got passed that we missed our flight and we were stuck in paradise for another day... we were ok... Day 4 in Thailand is tomorrow... and it really was our last day...
