Grand Park with GM and GP.

Grand Park in Ulsan is one of our favorite places for many reasons but the best is you can find something for everyone... So off we went and boy did we have fun.

I love this pic of Asher... like he is pushing himself in this stroller... so happy to be with his people outside.

We found a bug/insect museum that we had never been to and we spent awhile checking out all the various butterflies and remembering Sara May.

We also stumbled onto an area where you could pick up and pet rhino beetles.. Pierce was eager to get inside but not so eager to pick them up.

GM got this action shot of Pierce when he finally got a hold of one... he was not excited at all.  However he loves the thought of having one so he asked if Santa could bring him one this year... maybe two so it would not get lonely.

One of our favorites... the roller slides and on this day we were the only ones in the park... there was not another single soul at this playground which is really weird.  Since there were no other children we adults got to take a turn (something I have always wanted to do).  It looks a lot more fun than it actually is... really does a number on the bottom.

Rub it out GM and go again... what a great GM.

Reflexology path... man those hurt.

And finally the war memorial.

Another great day with family in the sun... wonder what the next day holds.

The Rose Festival, Ulsan South Korea

We made it just in time for the Rose Festival at the Grand Park... the perfect weather and we were ready to face the madness of people... the roses were beautiful.

I know these are not roses... but great looking flowers....

Stop and Smell the Roses... should be our theme this year...

Another great day sight-seeing and doing what we love... seeing all there is to see.

Grand Park in Ulsan...

We had some friends talk to us about Grand Park since we arrived and how it was such a great place for kids and parents... tons of room to walk and play... and that is it huge (hence the name)... so our second weekend we went with our friends to the park... and it was fantastic (since we have been back again).  Pierce loves the playground, Blake loves the grass so he can play with his RC car, and I just love the space.  Check out our first visit.

Pierce with his first friend in Korea, JC.

We had to cross this little river... and Pierce had his star wars shoes on that light up and he did not want to get them wet... so daddy took him for a ride.

Pierce took the next picture (never good when a shot comes from about 4 feet off the ground but sweet that he wanted to take a picture of us in front of the windmill).

We went to several playgrounds but this by far is Pierce's favorite... these slides are made out of rollers and they keep you moving... and make a lot of noise...

One happy boy...

There were a lot of people at the park... even a girl scout function (I have got to find this group again during cookie time)... they do a lot of jump rope here....

Here is Blake's favorite spot... the grassy knoll... and the little spec of black in front of Pierce is the RC car... and the kids were in charge of doing the "pit stops" which means to flip the car back over when it lands on its top.

The RC car was a big hit with all the spectators... it even went on the walks with us.

Another playground... with these balloon mounds... looks like fun.

Daddy could not resist climbing the wall...

A great weekend and we are so thankful that we get to have this time with Daddy... hopefully we can continue to get time with Daddy to do fun stuff like this and go on adventures in Korea.
