June iPhone dume - take 1

These are always so much fun for me... dumping pics... here's a little look into what we were up to in June...

Mommy and Daddy had a full body health screening (having been in this business before I was fascinate on so many levels)... it was amazing and very thorough... and I even got to wear cute little Asian flared pink scrubs.

A common morning greeting.. finding my boys bright eyed and ready to go together in Asher's bed.

Asher has really started to enjoy his little sun room... he is free to roam and play and recently realized he can stand on his knees and see the world.

This was an art piece that P brought home from school.  I just love the octopus, green beans, purple rice and crickets... does that not sound good or what?

A little outing with Esther.. and the store had a very convenient changing pad we could get both kids done at the same time.

Another art project by P...

Pierce drew me this picture and on his own he went and got this stand and placed it right by my bed... I love dinosaurs with hearts... so sweet.

Some work from P's school...showing items that are good for the environment and items that are not... check out that big bad oil boat at the top... OOPPSS

Just plain cute...

Daddy's day came and went so quickly and we got to celebrate late bc daddy was in the states... but here is something that P made for B at church.

Someone got a hold of mommy's ice cream bar...

And that is some good Korean hair... don't you think?

There is a lot more to come... don't worry.

Happy Dad's Day...

Happy Dad's Day... to one of the best Dad's in the world... we love you Daddy.

We did not get to spend Dad's day with dad but we sure did celebrate like he was here in Korea... we had craft day in the morning to make him a sign for when he returns and we thought long and hard on what daddy would want from us... and Pierce and I came up with a "HAIR CUT".  So we headed out the door to do some errands for daddy and then to get a hair cut (which daddy has wanted Pierce's hair cut for some time).  Pierce knew this haircut was for daddy and he was so good.  He sat in the chair so still and patient and just kept smiling.  He was so proud to be giving something to daddy that he wanted.  Everyone in the shop was telling him how cute he was and smiling at him... he was on cloud nine.  I typed in the google translator to keep long on top and trim the back and the sides... so Pierce got a traditional Korean haircut... I see this same "do" all over the streets of Korea...

Afterwards... how do you like the new do?

Here is our craft that we made for Daddy... we showed it to him on Skype that day.  Pierce wanted to draw a yacht (that him and daddy were on) and all the sea creatures you could think of below... we even had to get out a under the sea encyclopedia to make sure we drew all the creatures.

Here Pierce is dressed in his shirt he made last year for daddy... with his new haircut and sign... we love you daddy and are so thankful for you.

Here is shout out to the other 2 dads in our lives...
Really good dads turn into Grandad's and Grandpa's!

We love you Grandad...

We love you Grandpa...

Happy Dad's Day!

...

Happy Dad's Day Daddy.... we love you so much and thank you for all that you give and do for Pierce and I... I could not have asked for a better husband and daddy for Pierce... and what a blessing it is to be your wife and the mother of your child...

This year was probably the first year that Pierce really understood what this day is all about... the day for daddy... to thank him for everything he does for us... to show him our love for him... and to let him pick out everything... what we do... where we eat... how we eat... etc...

Pierce woke up this morning and grabbed the card (the dinosaur below) and went and ran into daddy's room, woke him up and said Happy Father's Day... I love you... Pierce made this window decal at one of the malls here for his daddy... and then we wrote Happy Father's Day on it...

Blake got an early present a couple of weeks ago... the foot massager... bc all the walking and climbing stairs he does all day... how nice is it to come home and get a foot massage or back massage... right... I think Pierce likes it better than Daddy... but today we got him a guitar case for this guitar... kind of essential to have since we will need to bring it back home with us soon...

These pics were taken a couple of weeks ago when we got Daddy his early present... Pierce just could not wait to give it to him... and Pierce actually picked it out at the store.

Pierce showing him how to use it... you can also put it on your back daddy..

Daddy went to change bc he had just gotten home from work and I turn around to find Pierce had moved it to his chair and was sitting their enjoying a good massage.

And back to the big chair for a back massage.

Happy Dad's Day to all the Dads in our lives... Grandad, Grandpa, KW, PawPaw and Grandpa Burnette...we love you and wish we were there to hug your necks...

Happy Daddy's Day!

What a great Father's Day so far... we started off the morning at 8:30am where we went to get Pierce and then brought him back to bed for some snuggle time.... he was soon bored with that and Great Mama and I headed to the kitchen to make some homemade cranberry pancakes (not out of a box)... added with some turkey bacon and watermelon (Pierce's favorite right now)... we had a great breakfast together. ViVi and Grandad stayed in a hotel last night so we have not yet seen Grandad yet... but we will soon get to wish him to a Happy Daddy's Day!

Do you think this boy was happy this morning... he loves him some pancakes.

Here Pierce has one fork in hand (hoping to eat some more) and giving Daddy his present in the other hand.

At school Pierce painted this tie for daddy.

Then we got ready for church.... and off we went... what a great sermon today on teaching the next generation to follow Christ. As parents we do have a huge responsibility on our hands but we were reminded that we as parents can not 'save' our children, only God can... what a great reminder to lean on him for all things... including our children's salvation.
The card I gave Blake this year was a funny one (good cards are so hard to find here) but it was so fitting for our time right now... it read:
On the Front (there are two birds flying in the air): Drakes - You're all alike! Let's Just Stop and Ask For Directions.
Inside the Card: I'd follow you to the ends of the earth - even when you're lost. Happy Father's Day!
I found this card very fitting bc not only does Blake has some issues with if I think he is lost or not... but we followed Blake here to Singapore for his job and at times we might feel lost in this new country but that does not matter bc I would follow him wherever he went... we love our daddy.
This afternoon we are going to meet up with Grandad and go to the movies... to see The Taking of Pelham 123 in Gold Class... this is a tradition of Grandad and I's on Father's Day.
Happy Daddy's Day to all the Dad's out there but especially to the Dads in my life... Blake, Dale and Hal... I love you!
