Pierce and Shelby... flashback comparison.

I just love these two boys... and love comparisons over the years... so I just had to blog about it.  Shelby and his family were neighbors of ours back in Houston and then they came to see us a couple of years ago in Singapore... both families went to A&M so we have to get them decked out when we get them together.  Check out these two boys...

As you can tell by Pierce's sweet little kid face still  these were taken more than 2 years ago... but aren't they cute... Miss you Jones'!

Christmas Time with Nana!

More fun times with Family... we had not been home in a year so we had lots of love to give and get... Here is our Christmas Celebration with Nana and Tim, Auntie Elly and Uncle Keith and Anna of course...  and JuJu and Uncle KW came to D-town to join in the fun... oh what fun to have the family together...
 

 

 

What time is it?  Present time... 

The present that keeps on giving and will be treasured forever... Auntie Elly hand made this blanket out of Military patches that spelt out his name... this blanket goes to sleep with Pierce every night still to this day... a very special gift for sure...

So many hugs to go around...

 

And I of course was not sharing baby Anna... 

Then we got to go to a Hockey game... oh what fun... Daddy really loves Hockey and so does Pierce...

 

 

Thanks Nana and Tim for a great Christmas...

Afterward the game we went back to Nana's house and as soon as we opened the door we found these footprints leading upstairs for Pierce to follow... we were on a hunt...

At the end of the foot prints we found "Pierce's Place that was full of toys for him to play with"... so neat and special... he loved his little space full of fun.

Thank you Nana and family for a great Christmas... it is so nice just looking back through all the pics and seeing all the fun that we had... we love you.

Flashback continued.. more time in Houston!

We just love going back home to Houston and spending time with family and friends... we get so spoiled with all the attention and all the food... Here are some pics that can't wait another day without sharing with you... some great memories in H-Town.

Uncle Keith and Auntie Elly came to visit from D-Town and Auntie Elly got picked this night to read a book.

Lots and lots of time with Grace... they would lie like this and watch TV all day if we let them... 

 

And we got to spend some time with cousin Lauren and her fiance at the time Mr. John... they are now married and can't wait to see them as a married couple... super cute.

Since we were newly prego we wanted to go see the doctor that delivered Pierce and let him "in on the action"... he was happy to see us, Pierce and the new one on the ultrasound.  This is also where we told Pierce that he was going to be a big brother... such a sweet moment but it was quickly overshadowed by a very special moment that we experienced when we got the parking lot... not 20 feet from our car we got to see a helicopter take off and they even turned around in our direction and waved to Pierce as they left... so cool.

 

Sweet friends... it is always good to go back home and hang out with friends that no matter how much time has passed it does not feel like we have spent any time apart... what a blessing... and to see all the kids and how much they have grown... good times...

 

Shortly after Pierce's bday... is my bday... and we got some special time in Houston celebrating mine (and Pierce's again)... Here we are birthday morning...

And one of Pierce's favorite things in Houston besides Grace... is Uncle KW... they truly are best buds and Pierce just loves how Uncle KW makes everything so much fun... they are so cute to watch... Uncle KW was picked to read on this night...

 

More friend time... Pierce and Harper use to be in the same playgroup together when they were so tiny... look at them now... 

 

If in Houston and you are celebrating your bday you must have Mexican food... for sure... bc not only is it good but you get to wear a Sombrero.

 

One last moment that is a must to share... Pierce had his first FREEBIRDS... a very special moment.

 

All dressed up for Christmas morning...

Another fun Christmas celebration last year... with the Pierce clan... we have a tradition where we all get dressed up the same... it sure does make fun pics and they are always comfy... will be interesting when we throw a baby in the mix... we might have to get creative.

We had to stop opening for a while and color... this is Pierce's master work... on his new backpack.

 

We are all tuckered out from all the fun... so now it is time to watch a holiday special and cuddle... 

And the big boys go to the electronics... 

The only thing that would make it better would have been snow on the ground... maybe this year... thank you ViVi and Grandad for a great Christmas morning full of traditions, fun, laughter and memories.
