Pierce's handwriting... A+++

We are so proud of Pierce for many things this school year but a huge one has been the improvement in his handwriting.  When we meet with the teacher late last year he told us this was a target for Pierce... He has been working really hard at it.

 Handwriting from October. Pierce has to come up with his own sentences for his spelling words and he would use 4 word sentences.

Lost 1st tooth....

Pierce lost his first tooth back in Feb.... when we were home for the holidays we went to the dentist and they first informed us that it was loose... so for 2 months Pierce played and played with his tooth... It was a slow process so I think we all kind of forgot about it.  Until one day Pierce went to school was playing outside on the soccer pitch and it fell out (he said it just jumped out of his mouth)... He went and told his teacher and his awesome teacher realized that since this is his first tooth that has fallen out, this might be big deal... so the teacher told the whole class that the person who finds the tooth will get extra house points (kind of like extra points)... so the hunt was on... and guess who found it... his good buddy Hope... thanks Hope... it was a tiny white tooth in a sea of green grass...

So Pierce came home wrote a note to the tooth fairy and tucked it under his head... with his tooth pillow and anticipated the next morning...

The first couple of days after Pierce lost his tooth... I would have to hold back the laughter when he would say certain things... this new hissing sound that would come out of his mouth when saying the letter "t" and "s" was quite humorous... and very cute... 

So this is what he woke up to... next to his bed... some money folded origami style, a new toothbrush head for his Sonicare and a very small letter.

Basically the letter said good job for taking care of his teeth (noted that they were looking nice and white), keep up the good work and that when the new tooth comes in make sure to brush twice a day.

So here Pierce is brushing it with the new toothbrush... I don't think he got the point...

Missing one tooth... but still as cheeky.

 

Compound Valentine's Dance...

Our first valentine's dance... what a great day at the Compound.

If you ask Pierce who is his favorite girl in his class... he will smile and say "I think it would be Lera"... well here she is... a sweet little Russian girl with a beautiful smile.  

There were lots of games and lots of fun... a great day.

Happy V-day... from our little heart breaker!

I know these are so late... but after you check out these cute boys... you will forgive me.  Love my little heart breakers... and I hope they break a lot of hearts... but never mine.... just kidding (well sort of).

And we got a little love package from Aunt JuJu and Uncle KW... look at all this cute wrapping... and see the painting of the heart on the left... that was painted from our sweet Sara May.

So So happy... 

And daddy was out of town for v-day so I purchased my own vday gift ... got me some hunter rain boots (first time ever in my life where rain boots are fashionable and necessary) and love them.

Hubby came back from the states with a beautiful butterfly charm for me... for v-day... I love this man.

Meet Baby Ruth...

In Feb. Asher finally made it to his third Hash, where he received his Hash name... meet Baby Ruth.  Blake named him from the Goonies movie... 

something he will either love or hate us for later I am sure...

Pierce is the best big brother... loves to snuggle with Asher (have to check out the video at the end of the blog), read Asher books and give him lots of kisses.... and look at Asher's face, do you think he loves it?

Getting ready to have some food... and I was not fast enough so he was feeling a little down... see he does have moments when he does not smile all the time.

And our little one had his first public accident... at our favorite place.... Starbucks... I was holding Asher and he reached out grabbed my drink and spilled it all over the floor... I had no idea he had a reach yet... I was wrong... and since this day I have had to think one step ahead of him (oh I forgot about these times).

The sun has come out and the weather got warmer... see Pierce and his best friend Hope playing in the soccer pitch at school.

More twinkies... Aunt Elly and Uncle Keith gave Pierce his and friends here gave Asher his.. the brainwashing is in effect.

Pierce had a spell-a-thon at school which started with a pre-test and then two weeks later he took the real test.  During our study time we invited friends and family to sponsor him and we raised over $100 for the animal shelter here in Ulsan.  We are really proud of Pierce and his spelling... the first time he missed 10 out of 20 and his final he got 19 correct.... people is tricky to spell.

Got a sweet package from friends in Singapore.. finally got my Korean Santa... can't wait until Christmas... Thanks GiGi and Traci.

Sweet moment between brothers... I filmed this on my phone while watching it the baby monitor... Pierce will sneak into Ashers bed and cuddle with him in the morning, when he thinks I am still sleeping... this one is a keeper.
