Day 1 - by the beach in Bali!

Day 1 all we wanted to do was sit by the pool/beach... relax, take a nap and get some sun... this was actually my hubbies idea... I loved it but I did not think it would last long... bc he gets bored after about 5 minutes of sun bathing... so here we are below... I am laying out and he is in the water... soon he gets bored we make our way to the beach and then back to the pool and then I fall a sleep and then he splashes me with water... I ask him why you splashing me... and he said bc he was bored and needed someone to play with... just love this man.
They even serve you cute little muchies like this one at the pool...

After some sun (or as much as we could take)... we headed for the spa to get rubbed on... we saw this cute little couch that we had to snuggle on first...

After our spa treatment, we had a shower and off for the night life... a famous dance/play with the "white monkey" and chuck chuck singers totally forgot what it was called... but I begged Blake to take me to it... it was so worth it.

Afterwards we headed to the beach to sit in one of these lovely tents... how romantic... the wind was really blowing...

We finally made it to Bali!

We finally made it to Bali... we left at night so we would have one less day away from Pierce but man did we pay for that decision when we got to the airport in Bali when trying to get our VISA and had to wait for over 2 hours... yuck... look at all these people trying to get in Bali.

After a long wait... we arrived to our HOTEL... Laugua on Nusa Dua Beach... it was spectacular... we had someone take us to our room and this was the room they gave us... now remember we are suppose to be celebrating our Anniversary??? 2 single beds...

Well that was not going to work... so they upgraded us to a suite (since we booked a king bed)... now we are talking.... Blake even found the chocolates on the way in to our suite.

And even bigger living and dinner room... we could have brought Pierce after all... this could have been his room...

It is about midnight by the time we get settled in... but being this close to the water we had to take a midnight walk.. here are some pics along the way...

We made it... and we are very happy... let the vacation begin.

Oh how we loved Bali..

For an early 5 year Anniversary trip... we went to Bali, Indonesia... just Blake and I and we had a great trip... we were only there for 2 nights/3 days but jammed as much in as possible... stay tuned for more about our trip.

We have sort of a tradition that we started on our honeymoon where when we are on a pretty beach I do a cartwheel and Blake takes a picture... see our blog post here when we went to Malaysia last year.

Packing...

Packing... Packing... Packing... As most of you know when we got here to Singapore 26 months ago we were only suppose to stay for 12 - 18 months... well that turned into 18-24 quickly and now our time is running out... we are projected to leave Singapore and head back to Texas late June of this year... we still do not have tickets in hand but the packing has begun... We have sold alot and are trying to get our things packed up... we came to Singapore with 6 suitcases and we are leaving here with 6 suitcases and (not sure how many) boxes.... we have accumulated some essential pieces here and we are trying to work out the best way to get them home... but as we are packing we are trying not to freak out Pierce... so we make it game... when I get a new box it is his new playground for the day... and so far he has not asked any questions... some of his toys have disappeared, some of the furniture is gone, the fish are leaving this week... and he is still our happy little boy...


I am sure you will hear alot about our move on the weeks to come on this blog... there are alot of bitter sweet emotions going on... we are starting to have our goodbyes here...and trying to remember all the things that we love about Texas at the same time... so stay tuned... we are about to embark on a roller coaster ride...
