Pierce's belated birthday party... a construction site...

Pierce's birthday is in Jan.. but we were in Texas so we have had a couple of small parties until this past weekend when we had the BIG one... while in Texas I bought all the party supplies and my parents brought them to us when they came... we had a "Construction Party"... I was torn on what to do for his party this year bc he is so into Transformers, super hero's, spiders, etc... and the occasional truck... but I wanted his party to be some what cute and fun too... he is only 3... not 10... so when I talked with my good friend Shelly she said you have the next 10 years to have a themed party that he wants so why don't you just do something you like too. So we had a Construction party... with yellow tape, hard hats, dump trucks and more... oh what fun.

We had the party at our condo function hall so the kids could make a mess and swim all at the same time...

Here are some pics of the party.

When Pierce walked in I think he was on overload... all his people in one room and all this truck stuff.. he loved it... see he's even wearing his tractor shirt and Ben 10 watch that Cena gave him.

One of the first things he did was get on his new 'Big Jake"... still having some issues with pedaling (he just does not want to do it... we know he can but he refuses)... so we sit and push it alot.

There was a coloring station with lots of construction trucks on it... the kids seemed to enjoy this table... even the big kids.

So thankful that Grandad and Vivi were there for the party.

My friend Jennifer offered to make this cake for his party... I told her one day that I had an invitation for her and her 5 children and she said "do you want me to make the cake"... are you kidding me... "heck ya"... and check this cake out... It could not have been more perfect... we just love you Jennifer... thank you bunches... with 5 kids she has had alot of practice...

Still on the tractor...

Finally he came to the table to color and have some juice...

And then he spotted the presents... before eating he ran over there to get a present... the deal was one present and then the rest later...

This is Pierce showing you how old he is... it took him forever to learn the 3 fingers... I was trying to teach him to touch his thumb to his pinkie and it just want not working... my mom suggested touching his pointer to his thumb and wallah... he did it... thank you ViVi.

Now time for some pool fun...

Anyone ready for some cake.... I never thought we would get everyone back together again... boy was I wrong... one look at the cake and they came a runnin... and yes it was that good.

We have several traditions on Pierce's birthday and he is only 3... one of them is that Pierce has to be wearing a hat of some kind... you can see this blog post here about that.... and then we have to get a family pic around the cake with Pierce's hat on... you can see last years here... and the only other one is that he has to have something he can ride or sit on that goes with the theme... check out last years here...

With one blow... they were out... hope you get your wish this year sweet baby.

I can't remember what we were clapping about here but I thought it was a cute picture...

Back inside riding the tractor... Mr. Jamey was convinced to teach Pierce how to pedal.

More hugs... and more presents.

Here is every one's art from the day...

and one more ride... Pierce calls Violet his girlfriends so this was their official ride together... he literally picked her up...

Happy 3rd Birthday sweet Pierce... more of our words for you on your 3rd birthday here.

Thanks to everyone that celebrated with us and making it the best day ever... we love you all.

An estrogen night and a need for change..

There are two parts to this blog... so here we go... the estrogen night... Jessica took care of me when Blake was out of town so we invited her over for dinner when her husband was out of town... we started the night with Glee, had Mexican food, then watched American Idol and then "the story of the second part of this blog"... the change... Late last year I got highlights for the low low price of $350 here in Singapore... got some more (much cheaper) back in the states and after 2 rounds my hair was getting blonde... which I did not care for... I mean I like blonde's but just not on me... and while talking with my mom she had a valid point... why go Blonde unless you "have too (to cover up the gray)... and it was just so expensive...

I talked with Blake and asked him what color he liked on me and he said he liked my hair color when we first meet... so I looked back at the pictures and it was dark brown... I guess living on the equator already had lightened it up some... so last week I went to the store and bought NATURAL BROWN... when Jess was over I asked her to dye my hair... we had fun... thanks Jess for another great night of memories.
Here is Blake and I's first ever picture together while dating... see how dark my hair is...
Here was my hair color a couple of weeks ago...
And here is Estrogen Night... Jess looks like a pro...
Looks pretty black.. I thought the bottle said Natural Brown.

Waiting... waiting... waiting...

Jess had to leave before I washed it out I think she was a little nervous how it would turn out... but I love it and so does Blake... taking some use too but I think looks better with my skin tone... and there are a handful of "HONEST" people in my life... like ones that don't have a filter (I will leave out their names but you know who you are :-)).... and 2 of them said they liked it better and one of them without me saying anything said "You changed your hair"... and that is all she said... so the jury is still out.. what do you think?

I don't have a picture of me yet with my hair down... it was really hot at the park that day (picture above) so hair was up... but you get the point... I am becoming more Asian everyday... love the dark hair...

ViVi and Grandad living in Singapore...

ViVi and Grandad were here for 7 weeks... and just to back up a second I will give you the run down. When we returned from the states in Feb, ViVi and Grandad had already been here in SG for 1 week bc of Grandad's job... we then left again for 8 days while they stayed in SG and when we finally returned for good we got a good couple of weeks with them. Since Grandad was here on business our time with them was limited but we still got to get alot of lovin... here are just a few pictures of our time together.

They are now back in the states (I am just that far behind on blogging)....we miss them so much.
Pierce was serious here... I remember taking this picture bc he would not let go of Grandad's neck... he wanted him oh so close.

They went for a walk while ViVi and I stayed behind at the table... and this is Pierce blowing us kisses...

Pierce got to stay up late and go to the Night Safari for the first time... it was a long night but full of great memories... including flying squirrels, lots of bats and lots of sweat...

Lots of playing at the condo took place these few weeks... Daddy was still gone in the states and Grandad would come over after work while ViVi stayed with us during the day.

A great time at the Singapore Zoo Water Park... here is Pierce break dancing on the water...

Daddy came back from the states and we all went to get wet... check out that big bucket of water... with the elephant on it.. when it is full it turns upside down and...

You get this.... Here Daddy is holding Pierce so they won't fall over...

Check out those bats that are just hanging out in the zoo.

And cute little monkeys just hanging out...

We have been to the zoo I am not sure how many times...alot... but have never found this before... thanks to ViVi and Daddy.... we found a tree full of dead bugs on display... Pierce absolutely loves bugs right now... we have like 5 books just on all the types of bugs from fleas to rhino beetles... and they were all on display in this little tree trunk.. oh so cool (for Pierce that is).

ViVi stayed behind so she could continue to explore the zoo while we headed back to get naps... and she got to see this awesome bird... don't you just love that.

We love you ViVi and Grandad... we miss you like mad... it is crazy to think that the next time you come here for business we won't be here...Maybe we can come and visit you here... LOVE LOVE.
