Easter Sundy... a day full of fun!

...
We woke up early on Sunday excited about what the day had in store.... we still had our frig box so we made it into a workshop for Pierce... Daddy and Pierce jumped inside and got to work....
See their tools on the wall... hanging so nicely... oh my boys...

We soon had to get dressed and ready for church... all dressed in Sunday best and off we go...

After church we had to come back and play some more in the work shop...

After realizing that we did not have any food (forgot about how much food we would loose from the exchange of the refrigerators) and we did not have a table to eat at... we ordered pizza... there is nothing like a good pizza dinner on the floor while using a borrowed ice chest for the table...what great memories.

Then it was off for nap time... during nap the couch fairy came and the Easter bunny came...

Pierce enjoying all his treats in his basket from the bunny....

Here he is showing you what he got...

and now eating some of it...

Afterwards we headed off to have the resurrection egg hunt...

So excited....

Daddy and Pierce played a bit while mama hid the eggs... can you see them...

Pierce really enjoyed hunting this year... these eggs are filled with symbols of what Easter is all about... not candy and he still had a great time doing it...

Here we are opening them and putting them in order... in a nut shell.... man, sin, Jesus, death, burial, empty...

My favorite is the empty blue egg... which is symbolic for the empty tomb... Praise Him....

We made these resurrection eggs at MOPS 2 years ago and they are so easy to do... on the back of the egg crate are scriptures for each item... a pretty neat way to share the story with kids...

We had so much fun the first time... Pierce wanted to hide them for us to find...

We did this over and over again even in the house... until we could not find one of the eggs... and it took about an hour to find it... but we did... all eggs are accounted for and back in storage for next year... what a great Sunday....and wonderful day remembering what Christ did for us...

Comedy Night... Blake the hit of the show...

...

Our sweet friend Geoffrey (pictured below) invited us to a comedy show last weekend.... we are always up for a good laugh and some how I have been known to get picked on.... once bc I was wearing big earrings, another time I yelled when they asked if there were some Texans and the other bc I was on the front row... well when we showed up Geoffrey had picked the table at the very front (I mean right below the mic).... so I got a little nervous but it turns out it was not me that the comedian would pick on this time....
It was Blake... the comedian asked him on stage to help with an impersonation of Clint Eastwood...

The show was OK... really not that much laughter until Blake got up there.... the crowd went crazy and I could barely hold the camera... I was crying and laughing... he does a pretty good impersonation...

Drama in Singapore...

...

Yes I know I don't think I have ever said anything negative about Singapore... and I am still not going to... but there is some drama in Singapore... specifically in our condo... regarding our furniture.

Most of you know that we have rented furniture (all our stuff is still back in Houston)... the owner of the condo picked out the furniture before we moved in... and that owner sold the condo in Dec. Since the new owner has taken over... the new owner and the old owner could not come to an agreement on the price of the furniture so the old owner moved all the furniture out on Saturday (the day before Easter) and the new owner was here to help and he moved all the new furniture in over the course of a couple of days... so that is a little of the drama... just a big mess and lots of cleaning and moving.. more drama to come... keep reading.

Ok here is what our placed looked like after everything was moved out... we have bought a couple of inexpensive pieces to put our computer and lamps on...the big box in the middle you will see again in another post but it was the box for the new frig... to see what our old place looked like go here you will see the old glass coffee table, the white couch and dinning table...

And yes we even got new beds and curtains... they took everything... even the clocks on the walls and my only drying wrack... but they left the weight scale... oh please why couldn't they have taken that...

Here is our new frig... which I like better.... score...
Ok... here is real drama... so after the old owner packed everything up, he sat outside for a couple of hours with his big truck and then him and another guy carried one of the bed frames and mattress' to the trash... you have got to be kidding me... after all that and the fact that we did not have a sofa or dinning room table at this time... and we watch this guy take one of the beds to the trash.. it is just crazy what some owners will do... they would rather give to the trash than to someone else... crazy.... I had to get proof and you know I sent this picture to the new owner... oh I am so bad...

The next day the couch came... we were hoping for a darker couch yes... but this one is a bit small and hard... but looks nice... no more napping on the couch for us...
And today the dinning room table came... I think the color scheme is much nicer and homier feeling (if that is a word)... but I am still ready to get back home to my furniture... but we are still thankful...
Here is our table... yet another marble top but so much better... and the chairs are better... if you want to see the history of all our tables here in Singapore.... go here...
Thanks for listening to the drama in Singapore... we are getting back to normal around here... and every time Pierce comes to the living room he says.. "we got a new TV, we got a new mote (remote), we got a new couch, we got a new chair, we got a new table"... he tells me every time... and I just say 'wow... that is awesome'... and then he thinks all this new stuff is awesome... so easy...

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

...

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!" ~Luke 24:1-6

Praise God the tomb was empty....

Easter Egg Hunt...

What a great day with friends... Thank you Willerton's for putting on a great Easter Egg Hunt in Singapore...
Here was Pierce playing in the playroom at the Willerton's before the egg hunt...

There was a time where it was really quiet and this is where I found Pierce... getting all the toys out of the closet.

The kids camped out at the door... waiting for the sign that we could go... hunt some eggs... All the daddy's went out to hide the eggs...

while most of the kids were waiting patiently at the front door I could not find Pierce... I went searching... I found him in one of the boys room with this... how does he find these things???

Aunt GiGi reading all the kids a story...

All the kids with the baskets/bag and waiting patiently...
All lined up and ready to go... we had 11 kids on the hunt..

There were 2 areas... a baby area and the big kids.. Pierce was in the big kids hunt...he was ready to go...

The small kids were approaching on our area... quickly... hurry hurry...
Ok the next 2 pics call for some written detail... When we first started the Easter egg hunt Pierce would pass up eggs bc he did not like the color of the egg or he was looking for a sport egg (looked like a basketball or baseball) but I told him it was what was in the egg that counted... that he just had to get as many eggs as possible and when he saw an egg to grab it... well in the picture below... he saw an egg in Violet's basket and he grabbed it... just like mom told him to... but forgot to make it clear that when it is someone else's basket it is already taken... I got to watch the whole thing go down... Pierce take the egg... look at it and Violet look at him...and then we all heard "NO Pierce"... it was really loud which caused us all the laugh and make some commotion... which in turn scared some of the kids... check out the below pics...
Here is Violet and Caleb looking in the direction of the yell...

Here is Pierce so embarrassed he just runs through the bushes looking for me... he cried for a bit but he was really more embarrassed than anything...I had never seen him so embarrassed before... he needed a few seconds before he was off again... hunting eggs....

Here are all the ladies... mommies...
On the way back from the hunt I got this cute little picture of Pierce and his friend Elijah... checking out their eggs... they were so proud....

A great great morning with friends...
