One tiny bridge to get over to the marina from where we parked... try getting 2 small children through this... crazy but oh so much fun.
Happy 44th Birthday Singapore!
The show on the water was amazing... they had a military battle... these marines were trying to catch some ninja looking guys on jet skiis... and the gun of course did not work but it had sound and fire...so cool... Pierce was in heaven..
Pierce did not want to take this pic bc the show was behind us (so he refused to smile) and Violet was so nervous from all the gun fire around us she was pulling my hair out but still a great pic...
I turned around for a second and I could not find Pierce... if we were not in Singapore I would have panicked but I soon found him here... just sitting down watching the show... never thought my son could sit still until this night.
I had to sneak in front to get this pic.... oh how I adore him.

We soon sat down for dinner at a lovely Chinese restaurant (you have got to see what Pierce ate)... and I was too late to get this pic, I could not get my camera in time... but you get the idea... the Singapore flag.
When night fall came... a band came on that did a tribute to Michael Jackson.... they were awesome.

A big plate of crunchy baby squid... he loved them... never would have thought that he would eat it... I love that Pierce will eat about anything (once or twice)... I love that we live in Asia and he is getting to try these types of food... his favorite food to date is sushi and Chicken Satay.
We just adore the Unruh's and we have so much fun every time we are together.
My parents gave us some glow in the dark bracelets for the 4th and we had some extra's so we brought them along... and they were once again a big hit with the kids...

Everyone is getting a little hot... we have to go inside for some ice cream soon.
But we have to see the fireworks first... wow... it was a short show but one of the best ones I have seen... and the finale was spectacular... and remember this was just the rehearsal show... the real one is this Sunday night the 9th of August.
Not sure if you can tell how big this was... but this was the finale... no colors just solid white everywhere... the huge tent below is where the band was and where Pierce was sitting earlier.. this might give you a little perspective of how big this was... amazing.
Waiting for our Ice cream... all there babies... Baby Unruh, Pierce and Violet. We just can't wait until Baby Unruh makes his appearance... I can't wait to get my hands on him...if he is anything like his sister Violet... we will love him for sure.
Pierce wanting Violet to sit right next to him to watch the show... a little aggressive but I think she liked it until she fell... they are so cute.
We could hear the band at our table and everyone was dancing... they had a concert that was a tribute to Michael Jackson... it was really good and I think some of the songs were done better by this band (don't hate me for saying that).
We are not going to the real show this weekend (it will be crazy down there) we will be celebrating early on Saturday with friends and having family night on Sunday the 9th..the real birthday for Singapore.

4 year Anniversary Today...
Hello all... well I wanted to let you know that we can't blog long today bc it is our 4 year anniversary... Blake woke up at 4 am to go to work early so he could come home for lunch with us... He got home we had lunch and now Pierce is in bed and Blake and I are headed out... for a 3 hour massage at the Spa Botanica... it was rated one of the top 10 spas in the world and it is right near us on Sentosa Island... you will hear all about it... but had to let you know.... so pumped.... we are off... to get rubbed on...

Busy, Busy, Busy but loving every minute of it... saturday Part 1 - Elyse's Bday!
Our sweet friend Elyse turned 2 on Friday... we got to go to the zoo with her and then had her birthday party on Saturday... oh how much fun we had.

We got to play inside with balloons and Pierce made tunnels with the chairs... and then we got to head outside for some water time... the party was held at Mel's condo and it is the best kiddie pool I have seen at a condo here... so nice.
After fun in the sun we all headed back in for lunch and cake... 
I know some parents that dread birthday parties... why... when they are so much fun... especially with a group like this... Happy Birthday Elyse.

Friday - Zoo with Playgroup!
We get alot of comments and emails about how busy we seem to be on the blog.. but you have not seen anything yet until you see this past weekend (more blogs to come)... Friday we started at the zoo with our new playgroup. The Singapore Zoo has to be one of the best zoo's I have ever been to (and we have even been to Steve Irwin's zoo in Aussie Town)... there are alot of free ranging animals and you can get really close to alot of closed in animals... It is the "up and personal" zoo.
And unlike most zoo's... the camera guys at the zoo took this pic with our camera and we did not even have to pay for it... I just love Singapore. In the last couple of weeks we have formed this small playgroup where we try to do something every week on Th or F. Gillian & Violet, Me & Pierce, Jess & Kaelan, Jenn & Elyse (they were already inside the park), Mel & Juliana (not here) and Jennifer, Caleb, & Levi (not here).
This is how we find Kaelan on most days.... happy and content... he is the youngest of the clan... we love his so much.
Sweet Violet... you have seen alot of her... Pierce's girlfriend.
Trying to get all of them to take a pic... forget it... but this is them in action... it does not get any better than this....
Our first stop the Splash Show..... we were sitting up high so we did not get wet... where is Pierce's mama???
Violet wanted to sit in my lap so Pierce ran to GIGI to sit in her lap.

ION Orchard Mall... the new motherload in Singapore!
I finally made it to the new ION Orchard Mall here in Singapore... and it is truly the new hot thing to see here. They have been working on this mall since I got here and it is located in the middle of the city (similar to Broadway and Michigan Ave.) Not only is it a mall of all malls but it is also a place of residence for the "rich and famous".
The Orchard Residences is the tallest building along the shopping district, standing at 218 metres. This residential building will have a total of 175 residential units from the ninth floor to the 54th floor once completed, four of which are penthouses. During the first phase of the sale of 98 units, the units were sold for an average of $3213 per sq ft. Orchard Road's newest shopping mall ION Orchard, have 335 food and retail outlets.

My friends and I got to check it out Tuesday... we did a bunch of window shopping since it is all way over priced... and probably only got to see 1/3 of the mall.
My best buds and their babies... Pierce was at school so I got to be the helper... And Gillian I have to say you look hot in that dress (he he he... its mine).
After Starbucks, walking around, getting Gillian some maternity wear and me trying to find a hat but was unsuccessful we headed to Borders to get the kids some books.... Here Violet made a friend... so sweet.

Update...
Pierce is doing great.... We are no longer running around the house naked but now he is wearing big boy underwear. When we go out we are still wearing pull ups (and I know alot of books that I am reading say that is a no no) but we went to the zoo yesterday and I just did not have time for alot of accidents and Pierce did great.... We were there for about 3.5 hours and he asked to use the bathroom 4 times and sure enough all 4 times he had to go... and no accidents... we did get home and he went poo in his pull ups (a minor set back but we are so proud). Today was a little more difficult we had a birthday party this morning and he never asked to go potty.... I saw him pee in the pool about twice and the other time he went in his pull up... alot of distractions going on today....
We are very proud of him and really give God all the glory on this one... Pierce has alot to do with it as well... but I have been asked what my secret is and I don't really have any other than praying about it... I have heard of some nightmares when it comes to potty training and I guess our God (our very gracious God) knew that I could not handle a nightmare with the potty training... public restrooms give me the creeps anyways... Thank YOU!
Wasn't sure if I wanted to post this pic (look a little scandalous) but it is the only pic I have of him with his undies (he just finished his toast here and was drawing) but I do have a funny story...
When Blake and I went to the store to get Pierce his underwear (Pierce was not with us) I wanted them to be some fun underwear that he would like (i.e. spider man, batman, trains, etc.) But we could not find any in his size but we did find the Mr. & Mrs. (descriptive title) character ones... like Mr. Strong, Mr. Wiggly, Mr. Bouncy, Mr. Tickle... Pierce really likes these but I would have much rather the picture of the character and title to be on the back and not the front (if you get my drift).... :-)
